Located in the fishing village of Bernard, about 5 miles from Southwest Harbor on the 'quiet side' of Mount Desert Island, this house has a large living room, spacious kitchen & dining area, and a private deck and screened porch with tidal inlet and mountain views. The house has large side and back yards. It is near Acadia National Park and is a pleasant 1/2 mile walk to the town harbor & secluded beach. Swimming, fishing, hiking, and canoeing are among the activities available on Mound Desert Island and in Acadia National Park. Bar Harbor's restaurants, clubs, and theaters, located about 25 minutes away, offer plenty to do at night. If you don't want to drive there, public transportation is available just down the street.
