Welcome to what Outside magazine calls 'The Best Place to Hang a Hammock' and 'One of the 100 Absolute Best Getaways'...
The New York Times describes Sayulita as 'uncluttered white beaches, a great surf break, amiable fishermen cleaning their catch by the sea, and the tranquil town square with its rustic taco stands and tortillerías'...
While Sayulita may have been discovered by some in the media over the recent years it is still able to effortlessly keep its authentic charm. A secret this amazing couldn't be kept forever. While the town's character has remained the arrival of many fine restraunts and excellent shopping are appreciated as welcome new neighbors. Adventure seekers that explore a short 45 minutes north of the bustling resorts in down town Puerto Vallarta are sure to find real Mexican culture.
The pace is slow, the food is great, the price is right, Life is good in Sayulita!
Casa Mango Seis is a quaint and quiet 2 bedroom, 1.25 bath (outdoor tropical shower) house just a simple 7 minute stroll to the beach and less than 5 minutes to the plaza. Unlike some of the back breaking hill climbs found in Sayulita, the road from Casa Mango Seis to town and the beach is flat and makes for an enjoyable walk. This property is conveniently located in a locals neighborhood called Tamarindo. Decades ago this area of Sayulita was a Tamarindo Orchard. Currently, the yard for Mango Seis has lush green grass throughout, for bare foot enjoyment and is full of flowers and fruit. The garden landscaping yields yellow, pink, white, purple, blue and red flowers. The gardens harvests limes, bananas, tamarinds, jackfruit & coconuts.
The house is a natural blend of traditional Sayulita design and modern comfort with ceiling fans, comfortable furniture, Sealy mattresses, hand-crafted cabinets and a travertine bath room with bathtub. Ideal for two couples or a family, the entire lot is walled for superb security & privacy. The surroundings provide a quiet setting with neighbors positioned out of site. The roof of this house has external stairs to access a roof top setting for sun or solitude.
Embark on a vacation you deserve. Casa Mango Seis has a unique & simple feel that will allow you to truly relax and enjoy the natural beauty and wonderful culture of Pacific Mexico.
Our pricing philosophy is flexible, the longer you stay the better the price. Holiday weeks are naturally more expensive. The prices range from $65 USD per night in the low season to $900 USD per week at Christmas and New Years.
This is unquestionably a fun, economical and convenient way to enjoy all Sayulita has to offer!
We got home from the beach yesterday to Sulma cleaning & a bagfull of towels - dried in a dryer - to beef up our supply.
I rented this house for 4 adults and it was perfect! It is a short walk into the hustle and bustle, but a market and great restaurant just a block away if you don't feel like straying too far.
The house is clean and very accurate from the pictures. The yard is very nice to relax in.
Check in and out was easy and the caretakers let us know they were there for us if we needed anything.
The kitchen is great, with little bits of all of the things you need, but don't want to buy short term (salt, pepper, oil) and the bbq was great for the fresh fish from the market. We would definitely return!
Our family of 4 (mom, dad, a 12 and 13 year old boy) stayed here over the Christmas week and are ready to head into the new year rested and relaxed. The house is exactly as represented; small, quaint, restful. We made breakfasts at home (everything we needed was easily accessible in town) but left lunches and dinners to the wonderful eateries of Sayulita. We did enjoy happy hour on the roof almost every day: nothing like sipping a couple of beverages while watching the butterflies, hummingbirds, and the neighborhood kids playing ball in the street. Thank goodness for the walk into and out of town or we would have gained 10 lbs each! We could not get over how great the food was at every place we tried. It was easy to arrange all the activities we wanted; snorkeling, surf lessons (and subsequent board rentals) and deep sea fishing and each activity was better than the next. My boys trotted our their middle school Spanish at the markets helped along by all of the wonderful natives.
We are not all-inclusive people but rather prefer a view into how others live while still having fun. We got exactly what we wanted. We felt very safe and welcomed at the house and in Sayulita the whole time. And those memories will get us through the cold NJ winter!
My girlfriend and i stayed here for the month of july. Everything was good for us at this house. It was a good location, clean, nice yard and felt secure. We will definitely will be back next year.
My boyfriend & I decided to go to Mexico for our anniversary and what an amazing experience it was. The house was so inviting, plush bougainvillea bushes scaling a 10' wall surrounding the house. It felt very safe for someone that has never been to Mexico. You walk in through a set of doors into a beautiful, bright & maintained front yard with sitting chairs and an outside shower. When you enter the humble abode it seems very inviting with a fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils & pots & pans you may need. The house came stocked with as much water as needed, because everyone knows you don't want to get sick in Mexico!! It had 2 full bedrooms with full dressers in each to store your whole wardrobe. You also had a beautiful bathroom and a walk in shower to wash off all the sand you have collected from being at the beach all day soaking up the sun rays. The house is located just a walk away from the closest stores & restaurants in the Square. We will definitely be booking our next trip to stay at Mango Seis very soon!!
My time at Mango seis rejuvinated my SOUL. No, it is not an all-inclusive white marble Americanized oasis. It IS a beautiful and safe small abode within a 5-10 minute stroll to downtown Sayulita. Far enough from the town to not be bothered with late night noise, close enough to partake in that noise on the nights that you choose. The highway was not a bother at all. I kind of can't imagine any reasonable person giving the kind of review I see below - much more high-maintenance than would even enjoy time in Sayulita at all.
I stayed here with 2 other young females and felt absolutely safe and comfortable. We had no trouble bopping to and from the house to the beach, shopping, to dinners, etc. We had lovely quiet nights in with windows wide open and music playing. The property management tidied the house, cleaned the floors, and replaced our water and sheets, but was not a looming presence that distracting from the stay at all.
Sayulita is a gorgeous beach town that should experienced by any adventure-loving soul. Mango seis was the perfect place to stay to feel both connected with the town while also being able to feel like you're really getting away. I will absolutely be returning to Sayulita and to the peaceful and wonderful Mango Seis.
This home is COMPLETELY misrepresented by the photographs and the reviews. It is not “a quaint and quiet 2 bedroom, 1.25 bath” house as suggested. This house is very dirty and poorly maintained. It is located in one of the poorer, noiser areas of Sayulita less than 100 feet off the very busy Punta Mita Highway. We did not have clean sheets once in the two weeks we stayed. We got clean towels once. The walls in all rooms are filthy dirty. There are no closets, nowhere to hang clothes inside or outside. The “lovely outdoor tropical shower” is dirty. When I turned it on rusty water ran out of it. The yard for Mango Seis far from full of flowers and fruit as suggested. The landscaping is mostly dead with a few bougainvalias struggling to survive at the front with a few other plants around the yard. As far as fruit there was one banana tree in the backyard. We pulled most of the dead stuff off of that to assist in the lighting of the barbeque every night. The outdoor furniture consisted of three cheap green plastic chairs so old they left green markings on your clothes if you sat in them without a towel. The “barbeque” grill was so covered in rust my husband had to find a hardware store and purchase a wire brush to scrub it in an attempt to make it something you would actually put food on. The indoor “furniture” is dirty and covered in stains. There is no bathtub in the bathroom as suggested. The shower was filthy. I didn’t check to see if they were indeed “Sealy” mattresses. My back and hips would say otherwise. The road from the house in to Sayulita is sort of flat I guess, compared to the large hills in town. However, it is far from an “enjoyable walk”. There is no mountain view from the “rooftop patio” as advertised. You can see directly into the kitchen of one neighbour’s cinderblock house on one side and not much different on the other side. You get a stunning view of the dead foliage that covers most of the front security wall. That “security gate” you see in the pictures? 65% of the wood is now missing out of it and what remains is so loose it can easily be removed by hand. FAR from secure. That nice decorative wood you see in the wall above the gate? It is all rotting out and falling off. Those gleaming white security walls you see are now filthy and covered in dead vines and branches. The “Other Amenities” were basically non-existent. The “full kitchen” consisted of dishes and silverware, a coffee pot that didn’t work
