Large one bed on raised ground floor; period grandeur, excellent communications

A large period one-bed apartment (sleeps 2-3) on the raised ground floor of a stucco fronted villa in London's Kilburn/Queens Park area. Very large reception with south-facing floor to ceiling windows. Large one-bedroom. Separate kitchen. Very close to all the shops and amenities of Kilburn Park & Queens Park. Ten minutes from central London using either the underground or overground stations just a few minutes away. Local boutiques, delis, coffee shops, book shops and pilates/yoga studios at Queens Park are just a short walk away - as is Abbey Road and St John's Wood going east. A great base to explore London.

We bought this property to have as a London base when we moved out to the Sussex countryside. It allows us to have the grandieur of a large London house with a lot fewer bedrooms! And it is a very convenient walking distance to all our favourite places (St John's Wood & Lord's Cricket Ground, Primrose Hill, Little Venice, Maida Vale & Queen's Park) and an easy tube or bus ride to all the attractions of central London.

Kilburn/Queens Park is a buzzy, trendy part of town - a real London community which also attracts a new young artistic and professional set who love its buzz and convenience to all the local and central London attractions - your neighbours will include Daniel Craig, Thandie Newton, Jade Jagger, Zadie Smith and Sienna Miller. Farmer's markets, yoga studios, delis, theatre/cinema, award-winning boutiques and a whole selection of pubs and restaurants, some with great live music, are all on our doorstep. Or, Oxford Street is only 10 minutes away by tube. Plus it's an easy to walk to other London 'villages' and is well served with bus, underground and overland trains plus the ever wonderful London black taxi.

Very close to Kilburn Park tube station, zone 2, with direct line to the West End and Central London - stops include Warwick Avenue (Little Venice), Marylebone, Baker Street, Oxford Circus, Piccadilly, Charing Cross (for The Strand and Covent Garden) and Embankment for the River Thames and the Southbank Centre. Bus routes across London to West Hamsptead and Camden in the east and Notting Hill (10 minutes away) and Chelsea in the west. Easy walk to Abbey Road and St John's Wood. Great selection of restaurants, bars, delis and all services locally.

Notes

  • To confirm the booking we require a signed contract and payment of the deposit of 25% of the rental rate. The balance must be paid one month before arrival. On receipt of the balance directions to the apartment and contact details for meeting the apartment manager will be forwarded. The rental rate includes provision of bed linen, towels and electricity. Wireless broadband internet access is free. A security payment of £500 is payable to the apartment manager on collection of the keys. This security deposit will be refunded on return of the keys subject to no damage to the property, the fixtures or fittings. If more convenient the deposit can be held in any of the major currencies.
