Sunny 1st floor apartment with large, spacious rooms (1184 square feet of living space). Bedrooms with queen-sized beds. Private bath. Large kitchen completely furnished and large living room. One mile to the Atlantic Ocean beaches and two miles to downtown Newport RI. Plenty of outside space to enjoy including seating on the deck, manicured flower gardens and a large yard. Great for people on business trips or families on vacation. Children always welcome. 2nd Floor apartment with large kitchen, den, bedroom with queen. Private bath. Living room has couch that opens into a double bed. There are 1008 sq. ft. of living space. Sleeps four comfortably.

We spent a long weekend here and LOVED IT!

We loved our weekend here. My sister and brother-in law as well as my husband and myself stayed in the downstairs apartment. Rooms are quite spacious -- the pictures don't do it justice. Bedrooms are air conditioned, which we only needed one night -- ceiling fans in both bedrooms and kitchen (very large as well).

Owners are VERY nice. Our refrigerator had soda, juice, milk and homemade jam waiting for us (among other things).

The location is absolutely the best. You are only about 1.5 to 2.5 miles to everything!!

We will definitely stay here again!! Next time we will bring another couple and grab the upstairs apt as well.

We loved our weekend here!! We [2 couples] had the lower apartment , it is clean, bright, and very spacious. The grounds are lovely, and it is conveniently located within 10 minutes of most tourist attractions. The pictures on the website do not do it justice!! We look forward to staying there again.

A great place for a getaway!

I just loved our weekend here! We did a bachelorette weekend with eight women and it was wonderful. Logistically it worked out great: the two apartments actually connected through a back stairway (but each had an entrance of their own) and generally speaking the place was just perfect. The owner had home made bread waiting for us when we arrived and fresh baked muffins and fruits every morning. The apartments were clean and bright and the bedrooms had AC in case it got too hot. The beach was just about a mile down the road and newport winery was even closer. I was thrilled with this place and highly recommend it to anyone visiting newport for a getaway.

We absolutely loved this house for weekly rental while visiting family in the area. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for the feel of home. The homeowner had a plate of coffee cake waiting for us on arrival with a stocked fridge and cupboard of essentials for the week. It is close to downtown and the beaches. They tidied up the bathroom every morning while we were out and provided fresh linens. we hope to stay here again in the future.

My family and I stayed at Maxwelton Inn this past summer. We had the second floor apartment. There was plenty of room for two adults, one teenager and two little ones. The owners are very sweet folks. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Since we were out and about visiting family, attending reunions, going to the beach and such we were not at "home" much but it was a welcome place of rest at the end of our hectic days. We hated to leave after our week. I would definitely reccomend this property to anyone visiting the Newport area and hope to be able to stay again on my next visit.
