Charming, Lovely, Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this apartment in Pergola during the week of May 18, 2013. The pictures online of the apartment are completely accurate and in fact the pictures do not reflect just how charming and lovely the apartment actually is. This is a tastefully restored historic townhouse apartment in a quiet part of Pergola – indeed we thought it was the best spot in town – within easy walking distance to shops and bars. Despite the coolest, wettest spring in 50 years we were very comfortable there in the apartment. It is clean, bright and airy. The apartment is best suited for two people. The kitchen is tiny but efficiently designed and well equipped. The main full bathroom is on the ground floor – it is very spacious, bright and clean. There is a half bath on the second floor (third floor for Americans) next to the bedroom – handy during the night. Parking was not a problem. You can park in front of the apartment for a short time to unload luggage or groceries and then there is always a spot just down the street – 30 yards away. The garden is private, cozy and overlooks a lovely stream. We used the apartment as our base to explore the villages of Le Marche. The owners are charming and very helpful! Molto gentili! Pergola is a lovely quiet town. Everyone we met there was very friendly and helpful. You will need to speak some Italian with the owner and in the town. English is not widely spoken.

Charming, cosy townhouse

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this townhouse in Pergola during 3 weeks in August 2014. We loved the house, with its charming atmosphere and colourful art (made mostely by the owners). The house is in a quiet part of Pergola within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. The house is best suited for two people (although we stayed in it with 3 persons for one week, that was no problem at all). The kitchen is tiny but efficiently designed and well equipped, the house has a washing machine on the ground floor aswell. The bathroom is on the ground floor and it is very spacious, bright and clean. There is an extra toilet on the second floor next to the bedroom – handy during the night. Parking was not a problem, just a few steps down the road you can park your car. We picked this house also because of its mentioned garden. That was a bit of a dissapointment. The garden is private, but overgrown, so almost no sunlight comes in. And - despite of the season - there were a lot of mosquitos. The combination of the two made it unpleasant for us to sit outside in the garden. We really missed that. The house was our base to explore the villages of Le Marche. We enjoyed that so much. The fact that you can one day be at the coast and the next day in the mountains is a plus. The owners are charming and very helpful! Everyone we met in Le Marche was very friendly and helpful. English is not widely spoken, but we never encountered any problems because of it. In fact, for us it was part of the whole Le Marche experience, and we loved it.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the nice words about our home. The Dutch are always our welcomed guests. You are nice and friendly. You made us understand that our garden has become too shady. That's right. In October, we will lighten the branches of the great bay and remove the plants. This will make our little garden more pleasant and sunny. Thanks again. Graziano e Mavis

Das Haus ist ein Traum

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

Traumhafter Urlaub

  • 5 of 5

Zweites Zuhause

  • 5 of 5
