Praia Del Rei is without doubt the premiere track, one of the best in Europe, and offers a memorable mix of true seaside links and pine tree lined fairways. Always presented in lovely condition it will test your handicap and offer a real test of your ability to concentrate to the end as 17 & 18 are tough finishing holes. A post round beer on the terrace, with views of the fairways and the ocean, is a well earned reward.
Quinta do Brincal (Golden Eagle) has recently come under new ownership and vast improvements have been made to this challenging layout. Its inland location means less wind but to score well you will need to be long and straight, with holes featuring water, heavy bunkering and changes in elevation. Play to your handicap and you will have reason to be pleased.
Bom Successo, the newest course in the area, is parkland style & has an open aspect with good views over Obidos lagoon. Although new it is in excellent condition offering scope to score well, but beware as 17 & 18 are extremely dangerous and could ruin a good score.
Campo Real, is a 'resort course' and, although not long, is very demanding as you need to be straight, more important than length. Wayward shots will be severely punished. Good greens, good views and some great holes.
