There are two further bedrooms with single beds and pull-out truckle beds underneath.

On the one hand, the area once famed for its genteel sensibility, as the rows of Georgian townhouses and fashionable Westbourne Grove attest. On the other hand, it plays host to an enticing alternative culture, as well as a lively Caribbean diaspora, whose annual Carnival throngs with upwards of a million Londoners, all seeking the festival’s colourful floats and flavours. The event demonstrates that Notting Hill commands a rich variety beyond its portrayal in the 1999 Grant/Roberts picture. Holland Park is itself an enormous (54-acre) wooded wildlife park built around the ruins of Holland House. The House was bombed in 1940 during the Blitz, but today hosts the summertime opera outfit, Opera Holland Park. The park itself is edged by some of the finest real estate in London.
