Peaceful haven in the heart of Kensington
In June 2012, my family of four (including two teenagers) enjoyed staying in this comfortable home, located in a perfect location right in the middle of South Kensington...easy walking distance to the tube, grocery stores, and lots of good restaurants. We stayed for two weeks in this lovely home, with two nice bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen with washing machine. It was a perfect home base for our family to enjoy a vacation in London.
The property was excellent: quiet location, comfortably appointed, secure, close to the Gloucester Road tube station and easy walking distance to museums. Ivy Lettings were excellent to deal with, met us at the property and provided great support leading up to our visit. Highly recommended.
My family and I loved staying in this delightfully cozy flat over the Christmas break. It's down a quiet muse perfectly located in the Royal Borough and steps from the Gloucester Rd tube with quick access to all of London and a 10 min walk to Hyde Park.
The flat owners were even so very kind as to leave a little Christmas tree for us to have for Crimbo. As an American not all the furnishings or the setup were what is used to here, but the flat was very clean and everything was completely functional.
Ivy Lettings was a fantastic agency to use, very useful as we searched for a location and in every way helpful. Fortunately we didn't need to reach out to them during our stay for anything, but they met us at check-in and walked us through all the ins & outs of the flat and it was comforting to know we could reach them if we needed to. During the rental process we had to switch from one Ivy Lettings person to another due to a holiday and that transition was handled seamlessly.
I would definitely rent from Ivy Lettings again, and I would strongly recommend them to anyone.
The apartment at Cornwall Mews that we rented for our short stay in London was pleasant and tidy, with a great location easy walking distance to shopping, museums, Hyde Park, restaurants and the Gloucester Road tube station. During our stay my wife, two daughters and I were out seeing the sites during the day and were able to come back to a cozy, pleasant apartment located in a charming neighbourhood.
Knightsbridge’s main draw is the shopping – it is the site of London’s most famous store and rich man����s playground, Harrods, which most visitors sensibly enjoy more as an attraction than a retailer. Any committed shopper will enjoy browsing the stores (or perhaps just store windows) of the area's international fashion houses or London-based designers. These shops prey on Knightsbridge’s wealthy and fashionable sets, and reflect the fact that it is one of London’s most desirable locales. Architecturally, the same residential features unite Knightsbridge and Belgravia ������ broad leafy streets, stucco squares, cobbled pastel mews, and an aristocratic feel exuded by large townhouses flanked by wide-set columns. In the same vein, centrally located but infinitely more affordable, sits Pimlico. The area is perfectly situated to reach central London, enjoying beautiful views across the river to Battersea and almost personal access to Buckingham Palace and Westminster.
