Big Bear Lodge is an eighty year-old log cabin located approximately 1/2 mile from red light #2 in downtown Gatlinburg and within one mile of the new Ripley's Aquarium. It is on a very private, wooded lot that backs up to the Smoky Mountains National Park. Recently renovated with deluxe amenities, our cabin allows you to 'Take a Step Back in Time...' in comfort.

Smelly and Dirty

The sewer lines were backed up and made the house smell of urine. The cleaning folks did a horrible job and I spent the first night cleaning so my kids could walk around on the floors. The hot tub was green and smelly with mold... and the linens looked like they should've been throw out long ago due to stains and pilling. And there was mold growing on the kitchen wall next to the bathroom....

It is in a nice location, but I wish we had choosen a different cabin.
