WATERFRONT MOUNTAIN VIEW CHALET ON SACO RIVER

Bartlett House Rental Photos and Description

- 3 BR, 1.5 BA, single family home, sleeps 8

Relaxing, fun, stress free vacation: Every time I go to this vacation home, I can feel the tension and stress just melt away. The views from the house are gorgeous. We're right on the bank of the Saco river, so in the summer, some days we spend all day just lazing in the river, picnicking on the large flat rocks in the middle of the river, exploring along the river's edge, or tubing downriver. The house is on a large, flat lawn, so it's perfect for badminton, volleyball or other games. There are so many trails and waterfalls in the national forest nearby. A ride on the old North Conway Scenic Railroad or the Mount Washington Cog Railway is fun for the whole family. In the fall, the foliage is spectacular; that's our favorite time to hike. In the winter, we're in the middle of so many ski areas: Attitash/Bear Peak, Black, Wildcat, Cranmore, Bretton Woods, and a little further to Cannon Mountain. There are cross country ski areas right in Bartlett, and in Jackson. It's a great place to vacation any time of year.

Relax and enjoy this lovely 3 bedroom chalet with waterfront on the Saco River and spectacular mountain views of the White Mtns. Cathedral ceiling living room with full view of Hart's Ledge. 15 minutes to StoryLand. Large stone fireplace, wood stove. Wrap around deck. Large lawn, great for outdoor games like badminton or volleyball, or building great snow forts or snow men in winter. Great skiing in the winter, 10 minutes from Attitash/Bear Peak and Bartlett Cross Country Skiing. 20-25 minutes to Bretton Woods and Mt Washington, Black Mtn, Cranmore, Wildcat, and Pinkham Notch. Walk-in basement for easy storage of skis and sporting equipment. Great location for: hiking, mountain climbing, swimming, tubing/canoeing, golf, backpacking, Conway Scenic Railroad, White Mountain National Forest, StoryLand, shopping and all kinds of winter sports, including snow mobiling. 20 minutes to Echo Lake and North Conway outlet malls. The river behind the house is great fun. Large flat rocks for picnics in the middle of the river. Short walk to a great swimming 'hole'. Excellent foliage in the fall.

About Andrea Stidsen HomeAway Member since 2005

We have owned this house for many years and love it and love the area. There is so much to do, any season of the year. Our daughter grew up spending weeks in the summer playing in the river, and winter holidays on the ski slopes. Lots of wonderful memories. We're happy to help you plan your trip if you would like.

What makes this house unique

It's rare to find a property that has both waterfront and mountain views. It's great to just sit in the living room or at the dining room table on a cold day and just look out the big windows and sliding doors at Hart's Ledge and the mountains. In the summer, it 's so much fun to play in the river, or walk down to one of the best swimming holes in the Saco.

Great vacation rental!!

  • 5 of 5
We would definitely recommend this rental. The description and pictures of the home on this site are 100% accurate. The location was perfect for us. The property has the Saco River running in the backyard so it was great to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of rushing water. Whether we went hiking, shopping, or to an amusement park, the home was in close proximity and it was only a short drive to get anywhere.
The house itself was very clean when we arrived and the yard was well manicured. The view from the living room looking at Hart's Ledge is amazing - with such a great view we only put the TV on once and that was only because there was a Patriots game on.
We like to cook our own meals when we're on vacation and this kitchen worked out perfectly - it was well stocked with cooking utensils and the outdoor grill gave us more meal options.
Andrea was delightful to work with and very professional. She had clear and concise written instructions on how to use all the features of the house and what we needed to do when we left and closed up the house.
The home was very comfortable and we hope to go back again if it's available.

Very comfy Chalet with great views of Hart Ledge

  • 4 of 5
Great get away chalet for our group of aging nordic skiers. 8 individual beds which is good for a group of guys. Nice gas fireplace to relax in front of after a long day of skiing ( and to help keep boots dry and warm ). Full kitchen, 1 1/2 baths, good ski storage in the basement. It's a bit off the beaten path but you are rewarded for the extra few minutes drive with spectacular views of Harts Ledge out the front window. Beautiful in the early morning and late afternoon sun. Always a pleasure to stay here.

Great chalet, quiet and exactly as advertised

  • 4 of 5
Stayed for a weekend in January for some skiing. House was exactly as advertised and had everything we needed for a group of 5 adults. Very short drive over to Attitash and not far from the shops and restaurants in North Conway either. Owner very easy to work with.

Cozy getaway

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at this great place in Bartlett during the holidays of 2013. We spent new year's eve drinking champagne by the wood stove after cooking a great meal in the fully equipped kitchen and listening to the radio on the nice sound system. Directions were clear and easy to follow, the place was clean and cozy and the property was well maintained. It snowed over a foot one night during our stay and the long driveway was cleared within hours, saving us the time and trouble of having to shovel ourselves out. The basement was stocked with dry firewood for the wood stove which was an added bonus for our winter vacation. Andrea, the owner, was very nice and very easy to communicate with to coordinate our stay. The views out on to Hart Ledge were great to wake up to. The gentle sound of the Saco River in the back was very soothing as well. It is located not far from Attitash and within a reasonable drive from North Conway. A real bargain and a very pleasant place to stay. Thanks!

REFRESHING

  • 5 of 5
I would first like to say Thank You to Andrea Stidsen, and Cathy Coccimiglio for allowing my family and I, to rent their home in Bartlett, NH AGAIN this year. The house was clean and has sheets for there beds along with full washer/dryer in there basement which worked out great and I must say I was suprised to see the NEW UPGRADES that they did from last year which included FREE WiFi and FLAT SCREEN TV. This is my 2nd year renting this house (parents have rented this house since I was a child) and have not had one problem with the house or the owners who happen to be very sweet, professional and they care about there home which you clearly can see when you go to the house. Thank you so much again for renting your house to us and seeing the smiles on the kids faces makes me want to go back again next summer for year 3.

GREAT PLACE WITH GREAT OWNERS~!!

?I would first like to say Thank you to Andrea Stidsen, and Cathy Coccimiglio for allowing my family and I, to rent their home in Bartlett, NH this year. When I was a child my family rented this home for 2 weeks every summer and when I saw it again for a rental spot I knew this is the place I would take my children and family. The owners are excellent and very pleasant to deal with and the home is very clean with a lot of land for the kids to play. I have seen the comments about the TV being small well all I have to say is we turned on the TV once the 7 days we were there. The children put down there ipods and phones and we united as a family and that is PRICELESS. I love it here and I will be returning next year.
