About Mrs Sara Hill

We built our property in 2002. We have 5 children and have had many wonderful times in Dundrum. Our children are now older and we are not as free to spend weekends or school holidays away so we decided to rent the property for holiday lets. We still stay whenever we can and love it!

Mrs Sara Hill purchased this house in 2002
Why Mrs Sara Hill chose County Down

We chose this area as the location is second to none. The house is located directly on the inner Dundrum Bay- a gate in the back fence allows direct access on to the beach In the evening as the sun is setting it is just magical to sit in the back garden with a glass of wine or to walk on the beach and watch the fish jumping- there can be nowhere more tranquil.

Having said that there are any number of things to do nearby- walking or riding bikes through Murlough National Nature Reserve, walking the amazing beaches, exploring Dundrum Castle, climbing Slieve Donard or mountain biking in Castlewellan Country Park .

Dundrum is a lovely village with top class restaurants to suit all budgets. It has 2 well stocked grocery shops, an artists supply shop and an art gallery.

The Tonn Ruray pub is always welcoming with its open fire, excellent bowls of stew and also great local music on Friday nights.

The Royal County Down Golf club is a short drive away as is the lively resort town of Newcastle and historic Downpatrick

What makes this house unique

Shore front location with amazing sea views from living room, kitchen/dining and master bedroom I fall asleep listening to the sea. In the morning I throw on a pair of wellies and am straight onto the beach.

The house is private with secure garden for children or dogs and secure parking.

Beautifully furnished through out with high quality furnishings. This is very much a family holiday home.

With experiencing a very stressful year, this holiday was just "what the doctor ordered"!! Everything was just wonderful, even with the bad weather, we still had a fantastic holiday. As a family, this was the perfect location with breathtaking views, very secure and central to all you would wish for. We would definitely recommend this holiday home, and in movie terms "we'll be back"!!!!
Owner's Response: This review is typical of the very positive feedback we have had for our property , it has been a great success and loved by all.

We all found the house to be clean, cosy and very well fitted out with quality fixtures and fittings and has a lovely warm atmosphere. There are beautiful views over dundrum bay and the children loved to play on the beach. With the mournes on your door step Dundrum has some great Resturants to choose from. We would definitely recommend! A perfect place to visit.
