COSY HOME IN REAL PARISIAN NEIGHBORHOOD

Sorry for delay in my review.

This apartment is very ideal for those who wish to be away from the tourist areas yet close by. The metro stop Sevres- Lecourbe line 6 is only a 2 min walk away and is an easy way to get around to the major sites with minmal line changing (which is easy to do).

The area is safe, apartment has fast internet and is set up 'just like home". Two grocery markets minutes away as well as bakeries, pharmacies and corner cafe's. Not even a bad 20 min walk to the Eiffel Tower is so choose to.

Majority of the area closes up at 8pm and opens after 8am. Exception are several eateries around but you just need to look for them and all within 3 blocks. I just get on the metro and go to a tourist area where many shops are open (Hard Rock until 2am, just one line change on metro!).

I would definitely rent this flat again and highly recommend this apartment to anyone. Monique is very thorough on explaining the ins and outs of the apartment. I had to call her twice for suggestions and she was able to offer her ideas. She speaks english really well so no worries.

The apartment looks exactly like the photographs indicate. Big rooms, very bright, extremely clean and all the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is brand-new and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need. There is also a free internet, local phone and a new TV with USB connection. The street is a little bit noisy but if you close the window, its o.k.
The apartment is located in a great neighborhood- all amenities are a short walk away. Across the street there are cafes, patisseries, supermarkets, open markets, bank etc. The metro is just over the corner (2 different lines).
Monique, the owner, is very nice and helpful. She was waiting for us at the apartment and explained how everything works. She also gave us very good tips about the area and during our stay she made sure that everything is o.k.
It is a great apartment and it made our stay in Paris very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this apartment for everybody.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Monique's well furnished, immaculate, comfortable and spacious flat for 10 days in June 2012. Tatiana, who manages the keys and paperwork when Monique is out of town met us at the entrance and was wonderful showing us how to work appliances, laundry, and pointing out local grocery shop and hours, etc. All was as promised.

Kitchen, appliances and bathroom must be brand new - perfect condition, crisp and clean. Yet the warmth of her furnishings and hardwood flooring, antique armoire, and cozy new mattresses balanced the newness of the kitchen and bath. Loved her decor - you feel like she invited you into her place - shelves are decorated just as see in photos. Does not feel like a rental. Makes you want to take good care of her place. I would live here if I lived in Paris! Even had a candy dish on the mantle!

Area felt very safe even arriving late at night. People still strolling about - felt safe enough to walk alone at night. A stone's throw from the Metro (subway), taxi and bus stop. Excellent shops, butcher, patisserie and supermarket very close. She supplied towels, linens, paper towels, soap, tp, blowdryer, staples, dishes - all the basics we needed. She even had some nail polish remover on hand! After a quick trip to the market we were ready to enjoy Paris. She even supplied a metro map.

Windows open to back terrace and front street, breeze flows through - lovely at night. Need to shut windows/shutters to cut out sunshine/city/street noise in the day if you are sleeping in. Elevator perfect for suitcases and just one level up from street. Laundry and soap provided.

Would recommend for 2 couples, families with children. 2 Bedrooms are spacious. Perfect for our family of 4.

We will be back to this flat again - hopefully soon!
