Villa with 3 bedrooms, 2 reception rooms and sleeps up to 8 people

The ground floor is offered for rental on a weekly basis, and could comfortably sleep up to 8 people. The master bedroom with double bed has an en suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms (double bed in one and three singles in the other) share a bathroom, and would be perfect for a family. There are two reception rooms with Satellite TV, DVD, and a plug for Ipod connection. There is underfloor heating throughout for the winter and for added warmth, a woodburning stove. The sofabed in the dining room can accommodate an eighth person if required.

There is a large and fully equipped kitchen/breakfast room including table and chairs, gas hob, electric oven and freestanding family–sized fridge. The utility room has a toilet as well as a washing machine, and there are three loggias to provide shade. One loggia is attached to the main bedroom, and one to the kitchen,the third opens directly into the reception rooms. There are spectacular panoramic views. See also www.italyholidayvilla.co.uk

The villa is located in the heart of the beautiful Abruzzo countryside in a tiny hamlet near to the historic market town of Atri. There are spectacular views of the surrounding farmland to the mountains in the west to the sea in the east. There are 4 National parks in the Abruzzo, with extensive walking, cycling and birdwatching. The nearest beach is at Pineto about a half an hour drive from the house, where pine trees act as natural shade from the midday sun. The nearest ski lifts are at campo Imperatore in the Gran Sasso, a small uncrowded resort used mostly by locals, where there is good intermediate and beginner slopes.. There are many wonderful medieval villages which cling to the tops of hills, and have remained largely unchanged over hundreds of years.

The house is easily reached by flying to Pescara ((50 minutes) Ancona (100 minutes) Rome (150 minutes) all served by Ryanair, and then hiring a car. For further details please see www.italyholidayvilla.co.uk

We have a 'No smoking' policy at La Foschia d`Estate- we would ask guests not to smoke inside the house, but just in the garden or in the loggia.

Notes:

The three loggia provide shade from the sun, and are suitable for eating outside. The house has only recently been completed, and the surrounding garden has not yet been landscaped. The garden is extensive, and nowhere near the road, however it is at present completely unmanaged, and stacked roof tiles may present some hazard to inquisitive small children.
