About Pat Carter Robinson (Proprietor) & (Admin Personnel)
I came from New Jersey where I was a hospice social worker and psychotherapist. Like so many before me, and since, I fell in love with San Miguel. From the moment I arrived I felt the warmth of the Mexican people and ex-pats making San Miguel their home. After renting for a while I decided that this was where I wanted to be. I love meeting new people and this town is full of them! I meet even more by having guests staying with me at Casa de Aparicio.
Pat Carter Robinson (Proprietor) & (Admin Personnel) purchased this apartment in 2006
Why Pat Carter Robinson (Proprietor) & (Admin Personnel) chose San Miguel de Allende
The joy that most people feel being in San Miguel was a major drawing point. When I first arrived by bus from Mexico City to do an intensive language course while staying with a Mexican family I experienced such a feeling of joy on the bus. I realized that there was no other place I'd rather be at that moment. (I was in the front seat so that may have had something to do with it). My positive feelings continued each of the 3 times I revisited. Then I decided to take the plunge and buy this property.
What makes this apartment unique
This question is very easy. No where else could I meet such a diverse and interesting group of people. And they are my guests!!!!! I can't recall anyone who was disagreeable. That is saying a lot after 6 years. The town is chock full of people who have travelled the world and as a result are quite stimulating to converse with. In addition to my guests this is the easiest place to meet others. Just go to the jardin, sit on a bench and you will acquire instant friendship. Where else can you do that?
