South Dartmouth Vacation Rental house

We had the most perfect family vacation in this really fantastic house. Where to start?....The house is very big, five bedrooms including the master bedroom with bathroom which overlooks the water..it’s like being on a boat. Also upstairs, there is a large queen room and two bedrooms with bunk beds sharing a bathroom. The kids loved the “Pirates Cove” with their own TV. Downstairs there is also a Queen bedroom with its own bathroom. Everything was just as described but better!

Every day we would take the skiff out, it’s a small boat with an outboard motor and goes very fast. We would wiz down to the beach or up the river exploring the amazing unspoiled environment. The kids also caught some stripers and swam most days. They also used the canoe and paddled out to the islands a couple of times. The decks overlook the water, so I could watch them while relaxing with a drink. We all had lunch outside round the table on the deck and dinner inside around the big dining table (we had 13 one night). The house is really a luxury home with everything you could want in the way of appliances and home comforts. We used the grill a lot. The kitchen is big with an island and the living room has two sitting areas and a huge stone fireplace – I think it would be great also for a winter getaway.

We didn’t really go anywhere except North Dartmouth to the Go-Karts and a day trip to Newport. We bought some lobsters in Westport and cooked them in a giant lobster kettle! We loved the house so much, we didn’t want to leave.
