An immaculate, charming cottage on the third fairway of the Kebo Valley golf course, breath-taking mountain views. Walk to the village of Bar Harbor, or hike the trails of Acadia National Park, or just sit and 'relax' on the back deck in the evening and watch the wildlife come down to drink from the pond and enjoy the cool summer wind blowing through the valley, while enjoying the magnificent display of stars. After you spend time at this lovely cottage, you will know why it is aptly named 'Mainely Memories', reserve today, and 'we'll leave the light on for you'!! Our cottage is tastefully decorated, with everything you might need, just bring your clothes, your groceries and lots of film for your camera! We offer a charming electric fireplace in the sitting room, a queen-size bed, and a queen-size sofa sleeper, both very comfortable, and all linens are provided. We also offer a pack n' play, as well as a high-chair for the little one in your family.

There is easy access to the many activities the island has to offer from our cottage. The National Park has 47 miles of carriage roads & many hiking trails for picnicing, biking, jogging, sightseeing, and nature lovers. Bar Harbor offers golfing, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, whale watching, nature and sunset cruises, as well as quaint shops and dining. The Island is rich in history, and the rugged coastline, where the mountains meet the sea. Because of our close proximity to many of these activities, you can leave your car at the cottage and walk, take advantage of the mountain bikes we offer, take the Island Explorer (free) to the 'quiet side' of the Island or sightsee at your hearts content. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are located on Mt. Desert Island is considered to be 'the most beautiful Island in America'. Come and experience the restorative effects the island will have on you. 'Breathe deeply the air is full of the sea, and the wind carries her music for miles'.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances including a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, all dishes and utensils plus a 'lobsta pot'. And for your use, a full-size washer and dryer. You can barbecue on the back deck using our gas grill, eat and relax in the backyard, on the lawn furniture while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the surrounding mountains and the golf course. For your pleasure we offer cable TV, VCR, stereo/ CD player, and a telephone. All towels and linens are included. In order to keep our home in prime condition for all guests, smoking & pets are not permitted.

Hi Trudi,

Just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Mainely Memories". I cannot say enough about how wonderful your cottage is. We have stayed in rental properties before and although they have been satisfactory, they weren't the kind of places where we wanted to spend much of our vacation time. We had 3 days of rain during our week so spent more time there than we would have if the weather was good, and we were so totally relaxed there. At the end of our busy days out and about we looked forward to getting back to the cottage and relaxing. It was so cozy and homely and clean and everything was provided. As I said in your journal, I felt as though I was in somebody's home with the owners being away, as opposed to a vacation rental property. Your garden is beautiful.

The cottage was so fairy tale like we could scarcely believe it. I have never seen so many nice touches and such attention to detail. We felt so snug and relaxed, and agreed that we may not leave the house for the two whole weeks!
But of course we did. The hiking was fantastic. The lobsta' Jimmy brought over was too good to try to describe. We told him the first batch was far and away the best we had eaten and we had had friends over for lobsta' that night and all agreed that is WAS the best any of them had eaten. Soooo tender we didn't need knives!
Thanks again for a dream vacation. We came home two different people. Never have either of us had the time to just eat, sleep, read, relax, meditate and stare out the window. It was as perfect as it can get this side of Heaven!

Hi Trudi,
I've been meaning to email you since we returned home on Saturday night.
We had a wonderful time. Your cottage is cute as a button. It was perfect
for us, both in size and location. I really loved the yard and gardens. I
wish I had time to be as creative as you are in my own yard.
The view from the backyard was great and the boys did find lots of golf
balls in the evenings. You were right, a week is not enough time to take in all the activities that MDI has to offer.
All in all it was a great vacation...just what we were hoping for. Thank you again...I would love to come back in the next few years.

What can we say! We had a marvelous time in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and the area. What a breath-taking place! We hope we will be able to come back many times to enjoy the area in the future.
The cottage was so welcoming and so comfortable. We felt like we had come to visit you and you had anticipated our every need. We enjoyed every minute we were there and hated to leave.
We will keep your wonderful cottage in mind for our next visit to MDI and will contact you when we need a place to stay. Until then we pray God's blessings on you.
