Gard, Languedoc, the vineyards of Uzes, we found this old Provencal house and have restored in the style of the country.

The cottage 'bastide of EUZET' lies at the edge of the scrub on the hills of a quiet and picturesque village of 300 inhabitants.

With 300 days of sunshine a year, this little corner of paradise in the Gard offers a prestigious historical heritage and landscapes of rare beauty.

Since our village, explore the Camargue and the Mediterranean beaches, or less than 30 minutes from the fabulous attractions like the city of Avignon, the Duchy of Uzes and the Pont du Gard.

Euzet is also close to the Cevennes National Park and Gorges de l'Ardèche.

Avignon City of the Popes in the 14th century, the walled city full of historical places: the Palace of the Popes, St Benezet Bridge, Place de l'Horloge and theaters ... See also the pontifical Carthusian monastery in Villeneuve.

Uzes first duchy of France, this small art town with cobbled streets, the mansions of the 17th century streets, is a true gem! See especially Fenestrelle tower, numerous antique shops, the Place aux Herbes and the Provencal market.

The Pont du Gard: Masterpiece World Heritage by UNESCO, the famous aqueduct in 3 rows of arches is most impressive bridges built by the Romans.

Nimes Roman city known for its arenas and ferias, but also the square house, the gardens of La Fontaine and halls designed by Philippe Stark. The nearby city of Arles worth a detour for its bullring and its ancient theater.

Montpellier: Our favorite! Lively university city, its historic center and pedestrian area has many mansions of the 17th century renovated, full of charming streets around the Place de la Comédie, the opera, the Arc de Triomphe and the Peyrou gardens or yet the new Antigone district designed by architect Ricardo Bofill.

Villages: In the middle of the surrounding vineyards, many charming villages reflect our lifestyle, as Lussan Barjac Laudun, Sauve, Castillon du Gard, Roquemaure ... A Vézenobres neighboring medieval village of Euzet, the specialty is fig and tasting products based fig.

The Cevennes National Park: A stone's throw from Euzet, this hiker's paradise with its chestnut its valleys and its sources, offers endless walking routes.

The Gorges de l'Ardèche: North of Euzet, Mecca canoeing, you can also practice on the Gardon near the Pont du Gard in the Gorges du Tarn on the other side of the Cevennes Park.

South is the Camargue and ponds stocked with reeds, wild horses and flamingos. In the midst of this protected area arises the medieval village of Aigues Mortes and its ramparts.

The beaches of the Mediterranean: At about 60km from the house lie the sandy beaches of Languedoc.

Anduze: Mecca pottery, traditional workshops produce glazed vases that go around the world.

Giant Anduze bamboo is also worth a visit, it is the starting point of the steam train of the Cevennes. This tourist train offers stunning views along a spectacular journey through the Cevennes.

Caves and museums prestigious Several caves in the vicinity: Demoiselles cave, Cocalière, Trabuc. Desert Museum in Miallet on Camisard and the history of Protestantism in the Cevennes ...

Excellent accueil. Très beau gîte, restauré avec goût et générosité (ce qui n'est pas si fréquent). Douce chaleur du poêle à bois, tout est prévu pour notre plus grand confort.
Et en plus, le site regorge de lieux de balades et de découvertes (le village lui-même et son patrimoine, Vézénobres, Le Pont-du-Gard, Nîmes ...).
Bref, la "Bastide d'Euzet" a beaucoup de charme. Je la conseille vivement.
