This cozy 2000 square foot cottage is located on Lake Jocassee with a lovely view of the lake and the mountains. The house sleeps 9 people comfortably, and is perfect for 2 families to share! There are 2 main levels to the house. Most of the furniture has been handcrafted from local wood, and a warm mountain atmosphere is what you experience when you walk through the front door. Extra large dock always on deep water, that fits up to 3 boats. All linens and towels are provided, and for the low price of $1975/week in the summer, this is the best value on Lake Jocassee. This price even includes cleaning. People come from all over the world to experience Jocassee's spectacular waterfalls, kayaking, golfing, horseback riding, world class fishing, motor boating and hiking. Seasonal snow skiing available. Food, shopping, and entertainment at local restaurants can be found in the little mountain village of Cashiers, only a scenic 25 minute drive away. Canoe is provided.

Beautiful Scenery

The scenery is amazing from the cabin. I wouldn't recomend going without a boat because there's nothing to do (unless that's what you're looking for). We hiked waterfalls and layed in the sun on the multi-level deck. The windows need a serious cleaning. And the road down to the cabin is pretty scary. Take their advice on getting there during the day and leaving your trailer somewhere else. All in all it was a great week and we hope to there again.

Romantic and quiet...We canoed and hiked and climbed waterfalls during the day, then relaxed and read by the fire at night. Beautiful scenery and a million stars at night. Cashiers is about a half hour away and full of cute shops and friendly locals...Try Wild Thyme for lunch! Jen and Leo

Our stay was great, alittle confusing to get to. Come in during daylight hours. Nightime did make it more interesting!!! Very remote and quiet. The water is so clean. Cabin was pretty clean except for a few cob-webs. needs a top to bottom cleaning. Dawn was very nice to book with. Got back to us ASAP with any questions. I would love to come back. Weekend is not long enough. The 197 stairs were a great workout. Thanks for a great time.

Great Vacation

We had a blast at this home. The lake was 20 feet down but there has still 20 feet of water at the end of the dock. The water was very deep, crystal clear and cool. The area is majestic. The house was clean and nice but still had that rustic feel. The beds were comfortable except for two of the beds in the tree house room.The appliances in the kitchen were dated but they worked ok. There are a lot of steps that lead to the dock but they were not bad. We enjoyed the exrta exercise the steps provided. I would recommend bringing a boat. They have a canoe available but you can see a lot more of the lake and mountains if you have a motor boat. Overall we were pleased with the home and would come back.
