This log home with interesting art work from around the world, and with screened-in, heated pool is a vacation into itself. But from this central location consider this: Atlantic coast - 1 hr; Gulf Coast - 1 1/2 hrs, Disney - 2 hrs, and U of FLA - 15 miles. Within 20 miles there's 10 lakes, rivers, streams, crystal clear springs for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Experience the diversity!
Screened in Pool Room for Family Gatherings: Enjoy the outdoors without the bugs. There's access to the pool room directly from double doors from the kitchen. Sit around with ample seating, and enjoy a cool drink. Come and enjoy a natural Florida. Also, enjoy a the Hot Tub in the screened in room.
I have been in the Vacation Home Rental business for about 20 years. I was traveling to different areas, and renting homes, as opposed to hotel rooms; since I enjoyed the comfort of a home, I thought, 'Why not get into the business'. I live a short distance from the Log House on Lake Jeffords, so, if you have a problem, just call me. Thanks, Rich
Richard Jordan purchased this house in 1995
I choose this location because of the quiet, peaceful outdoor location, the character of the Log House, and the private lake. The sunsets are fabulous.
My experience at this property was outstanding. It was very relaxing and my entire party was impressed. We were able to catch fish, sail around the lake and overall destress. The home was rustic and very comfortable. The only thing we needed was food and our swimsuits, although there were additional suits available. I would recommend this property very highly.
This place is a perfect get away. We needed a place to stay while my 4 yr old niece had open heart surgery. It was a little out of the way, but it was well worth the drive. Great fishing right of the dock, great swimming, awesome for just relaxing. Friendly people. If you want a place to just get away from crowds and big city's and all the traffic. This is the perfect place for you.
We hope to go back next year without the surgery stress and be able to just relax.
We had a group of about 8 college students looking to get away from the normal Florida spring break locations, and this was definitely the place!
The house was cleaned and prepared by the time we arrived, and there was definitely enough space to fit all of us. We were also very happy that the pool was inside a screened room, because this meant we didn't have to worry as much about the bugs.
Every morning, we relaxed on the dock or at the pool side while eating breakfast or doing mellow activities. In the afternoons, we took full advantage of the pool and the hot tub and had a lot of fun swimming and enjoying the water. In the evenings we sometimes went out on the canoe to see the sunset or again enjoyed the hot tub. We grilled outside a few times and on our last day we had a small campfire in a pit on the property next to the house. This property is a great place to see and interact with a lot of wildlife. In our group we have a couple of avid bird-watchers, so they spent quite a few hours listening to bird calls and spotting birds in the woods and on the lake.
Rich is a great person to rent from. He responds quickly to emails and questions and is very understanding person. I would definitely rent from him again and come back here next year or even sooner!
My gf and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin on the lake. Rich does a great job of setting everything up to make the experience as simple as possible . The pictures on the site don't really do the place justice. One tip for anyone travelling to this house, if you're using gps and it says to turn on 122 don't follow it. Long dirt road with a giant gate at the end. Instead follow Richards directions and take 111. We learned the hard way lol. We did notice the strong sulfer smell in the watet as previous renters have commented about . Not sure what can be done about it. Don't let that discourage you from renting though. bring some bottled water. Overall great weekend. Thanks Rich!
We really enjoyed the property, so much to do, can't imagine that anyone could get bored there. We have to go back just to be able to enjoy all the amenities. Very impressed with everything Rich has available to make you comfortable and feeling at home. I think his kitchen is better equipped than mine at home lol, every utensil you could imagine, tons of pillows, blankets, chairs etc and so many extras. Our grand daughter really got a kick out of the hat collection. I have a pain disorder and I was happy that the beds were comfortable and egg crate mattress toppers were available for added comfort. The only down fall would be the internet was too slow or having an issue at time and we have a hard time unplugging late at night when we're trying to fall asleep but, there is so much to do, it was't an issue for us during the day. We will definitely be going back again, Rich went out of his way to make our visit special. Thanks so much

This home was exactly what my friends and I were looking for. We were a group of 6 guys trying to find the perfect place for a not-so traditional bachelor party. This place was the perfect setting. It had everything we needed for a boys weekend of fishing, grilling, hanging by the pool and to just unwind. The game house was great and provided us with plenty of fun activities for the first night while it was pouring outside. Although we didn't get to use the dock for fishing as the weather was rough, it would have been perfect for us to do so. Rich was great. We didn't need to call him for anything as the place was kept in prestine conditions and we had no problems, but I know if we did everything would have been taken care of in a timely manner. After our stay we started talked about making this place a yearly getaway. If you are looking to get away and relax with friends and/or family this is place!
The boys and I would like to thank you again, Rich, for the great weekend!
