On a road less traveled, this very private Catskill Mountain Retreat is just minutes to skiing, hiking, fishing, swimming, restaurants, clubs, boating, tubing, etc...Just 2 1/2 hours from NYC and 8 miles from Hunter Mountain, the location could not be better. Close to all yet located on a quiet country road, this charming 3 bedroom ranch has all the amenities. Large wrap-around deck, deck furniture, pool table, gas grill, dishwasher, microwave, coffee/ espresso/cappuccino machine, satellite dish TV/DVD, 5 TV's with 4 VCR's, surround sound stereo/CD, foosball, outdoor hot tub, triangular jacuzzi tub in a marble bathroom, fire pit,video arcade games, swing set, clothes washer and dryer are just some of the comforts included. And with land that boarders state land, you can relax next to a scenic stream less than 50 feet from the property. Whether hitting the slopes, antiquing in Woodstock, or just 'getting away from it all, your stay will be memorable

Just some of the attractions to be found within a short drive are Hunter Mountain and Windham Mountain with some of New York's best skiing and snow tubing. North/South Lakes provide swimming, boating, hiking, and fishing. There is the Catskill Game Farm and Splish Splash Water Park for the kids and plenty of antique shops for the adults. Ice skating, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, mountain climbing, golfing, and horseback riding can all be reached with a short car ride. The World's Largest Kaleidoscope and the Arkville Train Ride are a few more attractions in the area.

Great place for a short weekend....not a modern house by any means, but well worth the money if you are planning to hang out in the Catskills for skiiing or spring/summer/fall activities. the owner is terrific, (a nice Irishwoman), and the place was unbelievably clean. Again, it is not modern..the furniture is outdated, etc, but it works just fine for the money.
