Saint-Jean-de-Luz might not be as well known as Biarritz, but many believe it offers a more authentic Basque-country experience. In fact, this city is filled with history. This was a favourite place of pirates and privateers during the 17th century, and it was also the spot chosen for the wedding of Louis XIV and Maria Theresa of Spain.

Nowadays when you walk through the streets of the old town, you will find many houses from the 17th and 18th centuries, museums, Saint Jean Baptiste church, and a large number of historic and cultural attractions.

In Saint-Jean-de-Luz you will also find one of the most spacious apartments. With its 4 impressive bedrooms and 3 complete bathrooms, Le Penthouse can comfortably accommodate 8 people with space to spare. It also features a very modern style with an exposed roof frame, granite counters in the kitchen, and ample natural light.

On the first floor, there are 3 bedrooms, one of which is a master bedroom with a queen-size bed. The 2 other bedrooms share a bathroom; one has a queen-size bed and the other, a bunk bed. On the second floor, you will find another large bedroom with 2 single beds as well as a spacious open living/dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen.

The living room looks out onto Boulevard Victor Hugo, the city's main road, on which you will find the cinema, covered markets and their fresh products, grocery stores, many bars and restaurants, and the fishing port where fish are sold. Le Penthouse is located only 200 metres from the pedestrian zone and Rue Gambetta, which is full of shops, at the heart of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and only 400 m from Saint-Jean-de-Luz's large beach. Moreover, the property features a private parking space, which is a huge benefit, especially during the summer. Biarritz and Spain are only 20 minutes away by car.
