Neighborhood: Extremely peaceful and established neighborhood. All homes in the area are direct access waterfront. One street from the Marco River (east side of the island). There are existing homes on all lots, so there is no construction to disturb your tranquility. Most homes on the street are owner occupied.

Food Shopping or Restaurants: Publix Supermarket is 1.2 miles from house. Walgreens is 1.0 mile. Skip the food shopping and go out to eat at The Snook, The Sand Bar, Guy Harveys, Capt. Briens, Kretch's, Mozart's, Pelican Bend on The Isles of Capri (order the sauteed Grouper), Old Marco Inn and Quinns (on the Marriott Beach).

Kids, Mackle Park and Marco Library: Garage is full of things for boys and girls. 2 bikes, tricycle, sports equipment floats, golf clubs, fishing rods, net, skateboard (and helmets) basketballs. Free access to sports and activities for kids and adults at Mackle Park. Activities at Mackle Park include playgrounds, tike water park, covered basketball court, bocci, shuffle board, tether ball and indoor billiards and ping pong. Marco Library has wonderful children's section including movies/DVDs and free internet access.

We spent two weeks here, Aug 09. Hot, hot weather, but a fabulous place to chill out. The house was spotlessly clean and spacious. It felt like someone's home, not a rental. The pool area and view out over the water are fantastic. The kids fished from the jetty, and we saw dolphin and manatee. Everglades are nearby for some serious adventure. A fantastic family holiday.
Owner's Response: One of the few things we can guarantee is that Florida WILL be hot during August!. We are very happy that your family enjoyed the stay. Thank you for treating our home as if it was yours. You are welcome back anytime!

Most relaxing vacation ever!

We recently rented this property and it was the most relaxing vacation we’ve had! We decided to stay in this rental in lieu of a hotel because it offered us more privacy and flexibility. The location of the house is excellent – the end of a cul-de-sac, quiet street, amazing views but close to everything. The house has a great layout - master bedroom is away from other bedrooms and the floor plan is open and spacious. This house works great for couples as well as families. The house and grounds were spotless. I found the owners very considerate and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. There’s lot of information in the house on what to do in the area. I highly recommend this property – what better way to relax than to have your morning coffee on your private dock, watching the dolphins play in the water and then hang out in your pool anytime you want – our favorite time was while star gazing late at night. We’ve already booked next year!

I was looking to untie the stress knots that I accumulated at work and found there is no other place on the western Florida Coast. It was peaceful, private, minutes down the road from anything we needed:beaches, shops, & restaurants. An after-dinner glass of wine on the deck that wrap's the property's waterfront and a warm gulf breeze.Perfect. This is a great place to learn the fine art of being laid back. Thanks for the long weekend in Paradise. We'll be back again.
