Best location in the City Center - Luxury Apartment In Reykjavik City Center

Our family of 2 adults and 3 kids - ages 14, 11 and 7 stayed at this wonderful apartment in mid February. Everything about our trip was fantastic and our dealings with the hosts were pleasantly uncomplicated. Larus and Gigja responded quickly to e-mails, answered questions in detail and showed flexibility in dealing with a couple of our special requests (which we very much appreciated). They met us at the apartment, gave us a quick tour and explained how everything worked. They also left phone numbers in the event anything came up (but we didn't need to call). The apartment is beautiful, modern and well maintained. Everything worked and all the essentials were there which allowed us to cook some meals at home. While not very high up, the apartment has a view of the water and of Mount Esja beyond (when not cloudy). It is in a great location. Everything is within a few minutes walk - bakery within 2 and grocery store within 5 mins. Main Reykjavik shopping street is also 2 mins away. We also picked this flat because of accessibility - and apart from one threshold at the main front door, there are no stairs. On a couple of days, our kids asked to hang out at the apartment, so I can't pay a bigger compliment than saying it was home away from home. Highly recommended. Thanks Larus and Gigja.
