'Spruce Ledge' is a spectacular 5 bedroom, 1 3/4 bath, ocean front home perched on a bluff overlooking the islands and lighthouses that mark the approaches to the famous Boothbay Harbor area. 'Spruce Ledge' is only a short walk to fine dining at the Ocean Point Inn, the town docks and association tennis courts. Most of the homes on Ocean Point are 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation. 'Spruce Ledge' has been in our family for over 70 years as our summer home and many of our families' adult lives have close ties to our time and experiences as children summering at Spruce Ledge. 'Spruce Ledge,' Ocean Point and Boothbay are marvelous places to unwind and recharge. You have all the shopping, restaurants, boat rides and fishing trips available in Boothbay but Ocean Point is a peninsula 7 miles away from the hustle and bustle of summers on the Maine coast. 'Spruce Ledge' has ocean views from every window. You can see 2 lighthouses, the approach to Boothbay and 6 or 7 islands from the house.

  • $1800-$2500/week. Longer term rentals encouraged.
  • $2500/week from June 1st through the 2nd full week of September.
    $1800/week for the balance of season until October 12.
    Individual rentals of 3 consecutive weeks receive a 10% reduction as a Long Term Renter. Individual rentals of 4 consecutive weeks, or more, receive a 15% reduction as a Monthly Renter. This applies to the early, peak and fall seasons.

Notes: 3 doubles (2 are Select Comfort beds), 1 twin, 2 sleeper sofas. Outside 'after-swim' shower; toaster. Here are some of the improvements and upgrades we have done recently. A new Sony TV and DVD/CD player have been installed along with high speed cable internet service. We have also just upgraded two of the main bedrooms to feature Select Comfort beds. We now have wireless HIGH SPEED INTERNET cable Accesibility. You will also find the renovations to the kitchen include some new custom built cabinets, center island and a knotty pine ceiling.

“Spruce Ledge” also has a terrace on the rocks in front of the house, which is a great place to have a lobster supper while watching the most spectacular sunsets. Boothbay has a great golf course and there is tennis available through the Ocean Point Colony Trust at the 'casino' right on Ocean Point. The 'casino' is also the site of Ocean Point's traditional Sunday after Chapel softball game where young and old alike are invited to join in. Very young children, referred to as NC’s (no counter), are rotated in enough to keep them interested, but not so much as to lose the interest of the adults, and it's not unusual for NC's to hit home runs.
