A comfortable sofa in the lounge allows you to stay as a small family and there is plenty of space in the bedroom for a baby bed. The bathroom has a shower, wash basin and WC. Charming and relaxing

La Petite Grange is part of a beautiful old building. It was clean, well
laid out and well furnished. The owners were extremely helpful
and provided lots of information on the area.

The standard of finish was high, particularly the kitchen which
was extremely pleasant and well equipped. We made good use of the
British Freesat TV channels and the free wi-fi.

We stayed in January but it was sunny every day. Not much is open
attraction-wise as this is the quietest time of the year but we came for
relaxation and we certainly got it.

The cottage is only a couple of minutes either way to the two closest towns
where you can buy everything you need.

We were very pleased with the cottage and would recommend it.

A stunning place to visit!

5 of 5
Submitted: September 18, 2012 Stayed: September 2012
We have just returned from a lovely, relaxing stay in Lablachere. The accommodation at La Petit Grange was homely and comfortable. It was very clean and provided everything we needed for our holiday. The information pack suggested lots of places to visit and activities to do and we also really appreciated the local knowledge of the owner in finding our way around and finding places we may otherwise have missed out on. The scenery is breathtaking and a drive along the Ardeche Gorge is well worth doing. We only wish we had booked the kayak trip to fully appreciate the views. There are many little medieval towns which are beautiful and have fabulous coffee shops and gift shops. Lablachere and Joyeues are within walking distance of the accommodation and we would highly recommend a visit to Maison de Nany in Joyesus old town for an evening meal. A stunning place to visit and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the terrace with a bottle (or two) of the local merlot. Thank you to Alan & Jane for their kind hospitality.

Beautiful spot!

My girlfriend and I had a great holiday here! It really is a beautiful spot and there's so much to do in the area whether you're into adventure sports or just enjoy wandering around sleepy French towns and taking in the scenery. The gite was perfect for our needs, beautifully done out to a high standard and full with everything you'll need. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine in the evening and enjoying the atmosphere.
Jane and Alan, the proprietors, are very friendly and full of information on what's going on in the surrounding area. We would definitely book again.

A perfect break!

A charming and very well appointed gite with stunning views from the terrace. During our stay the weather was glorious and La Petite Grange offered a welcome, cool retreat from the heat of the day. In cooler weather the central wood burning stove would be a delight. The bedroom was very pretty, the bed comfy and we slept well every night. There was always plenty of hot water for the shower and in the kitchen.
The surrounding region offers an exceptional range of activities but we enjoyed a more leisurely holiday, taking in the breathtaking scenery and exploring quaint and historic villages and sampling fabulous food and wine. Joyeuse was just a leisurely stroll from the gite and we particularly enjoyed the market (Wednesdays) and the arts and craft shops hidden in the old town area.
All in all, a wonderful experience and our thanks to the owners for their help and advice during our stay.
Highly recommended.

A lovely base for exploring the Ardeche region

4 of 5
Submitted: June 9, 2012 Stayed: May 2012
Le Petite Grange is a lovely little gite for a couple to stay with a comfy living area and bedroom, although the bedroom can get a bit hot, but the owners are in the process of resolving that.
It is very clean and well maintained accommodation with lovely views from the patio at the back of the property. It is next to a busy little road but it goes quiet through the night.
The owners live in the main house attached to the gite and are very helpful and friendly, they are in the process of building another house at the back of the gite, but this didn't effect our stay at all.
You would need a car to stay here as it is a couple of kilometers away from the nearest town, but it is a lovely base to explore the region which is beautiful. We came to do some kayaking and climbing in the area, and we had a brilliant time I would recommend Le Petite Grange to anyone and would certainly stay here again.
Owner's Response: We are pleased that Lisa and Andy enjoyed their stay with us and look forward to seeing them again in future
