Opportunity:

The HomeAway Web Analytics team is looking for an Intern to be a part of the Web Analytics team’s online marketing and site experience optimization efforts. This is a fantastic opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in online marketing and/ or web analytics.

Our internship program is designed to give college students an opportunity to enhance their formal education with hands-on, career-related experience. Internship opportunities are limited to students who are currently enrolled full-time in a college or university program and are able to intern a minimum of 20 hours per week. This is a paid internship in Austin, TX.

This position is available for Spring 2009 and may continue into the summer/fall.

Responsibilities include:

- Assist with fulfilling ad hoc requests for Omniture and Google Analytics website traffic data

- Compile analytics resources on company Wiki

- Create dashboards for different user groups

- Perform web analytics research on as requested basis

- Assist with data verification efforts

Job requirements:

- Full-time students with a technical background and a business foundation, focusing on one or more of the following majors: Marketing; Computer Science; Math; or Business with a strong interest in analyzing web traffic reports

- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Entrepreneurial drive and work ethic.

- Passion for creating and building solutions

- Must be familiar with current web 2.0 technologies, basic web coding a plus (HTML, CSS , JavaScript), Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel), and quantitative data analysis.
