Opportunity:

This position will manage all metrics, analytics and reporting associated with US Search Marketing channels including search engine optimization, direct traffic and paid search with a focus on driving traffic and inquiries to our websites and comparing effectiveness and ROI across various marketing channels.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Become an in-house expert on key business operating metrics, enabling the individual to quickly and correctly identify the underlying areas of concern when issues are identified in dashboard metrics

• Understand and recommend action on key drivers of key performance indicators

• Statistical modeling including multi-variant design working with both normalized and disparate data sets

• Conduct detailed analyses of key metrics for increased search performance efficiency on weekly and monthly basis

• Identify and communicate opportunities to grow and improve PPC and SEO campaigns

• Manage relationship with outside paid search vendors or agencies

• Develop and implement PPC strategies with a focus on ROI

• Educate internal partners about campaign successes and learnings to impact strategy for SEO, PPC, Marketing, PR and Product

• Harvest the majority of the data used to power ad hoc analyses

• Utilize web analytics software packages (particularly Omniture)

• Produce analyses that link ROI to key initiatives

• Complete full analysis and modeling in addition to summarizing and creating executive reports based on those findings

 

Candidate Profile:

• 3+ years of experience in search campaign reporting and analysis experience including managing A/B testing, regression analysis for PPC bid management and optimization

• Experience managing marketing budgets, ROI optimization, and outside agencies / vendors to drive results

• Web Analytics expertise, including knowledge of Omniture’s SiteCatalyst, Discover and data warehouse applications strongly preferred

• Intellectual and analytical curiosity – initiative to dig into the “why” of various results

• Advanced computer skills and detailed knowledge of various computer programs, including a strong proficiency in MS Excel with complex query writing and pivot tables

• Able to work independently and proactively, identifying issues and raising them to management with recommended solution

• Desire and ability to work collaboratively in an entrepreneurial environment, with flexibility and adaptability as priorities change

• Excellent listening skills, concise communication, and targeting the message to specific audiences including multi-cultural organizational dynamics

• Bachelor’s degree and solid background in mathematics or other quantitative discipline required.

 

Location:

Austin, Texas. Limited travel, if any.
