A:   A Special Offer is a limited-time advertisement to promote your rental rate discount or a deal on extra rental services (free welcome gift, free daily maid service, etc.).  Many property owners run a Special Offer when they want book a week at the last-minute due to a cancellation or sell weeks in the off-season when business is slow.  

We promote your Special Offer throughout the site, so potential renters know which weeks they can get promotional rates.  A Special Offer also increases your listing in HomeAway’s search results order. 

Here’s how a Special Offer displays on our site: 

• Highlights your property on the Special Offers search results
• A summary of your Special Offer appears in a blue bar on the top of your listing within search results
  

You can only run one Special Offer at a time for your property.  Two weeks is the minimum amount of time you can run a Special Offer and the two-week period cannot go past the weeks advertised on your Special Offer.
