Q: What do I need to know about the property's location?

A:   Ask the owner as many questions as necessary to feel comfortable about the property’s location before booking the rental.  For example, if the listing says “within walking distance to the beach”, ask the owner whether it’s a mile away or across the street.

Get as many details as you can about proximity to area attractions, restaurants, etc. to feel confident that the location is ideal for you.  Also, read vacation rental reviews by other travelers.

Once you receive the property’s physical address in the rental agreement or pre-arrival instructions, you can type the address into Google to view a detailed map of the area and/or satellite image.
