Opportunity:

Ensure that U.S. and international compensation and benefits plans/programs effectively meet employee and business needs and are in compliance with government regulations and company policies/procedures. Plan, develop, implement, and communicate employee pay and benefits. Provide compensation and benefits expertise through manager communication and consultation. Act as liaison with brokers, providers, and consultants providing compensation and benefit services to the company. Maintain human resources data and create reports within the HRIS in support of human resources administration and projects.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compensation:

• Administer salary planning, bonus, and stock option programs including pay communication and delivery processes. Provide required summary and detail program analysis and reporting to management.

• Provide salary, bonus, and stock option recommendations for applicants, employee promotions, and market adjustments. Review proposed salary actions to ensure conformance with external market data and internal equity.

• Complete salary surveys and perform market and job specific data analysis on survey results.

• Perform job evaluations, create job descriptions, and determine FLSA status of jobs.

• Consult with HR and management to closely link practices, policies and programs to business objectives. Administer and interpret policies and procedures as required.

• Enter and maintain employee data in various applications as required.

• Ongoing monitoring of legislated requirements to ensure compliance of compensation plans and documentation.

• Additional project work as needed.

Benefits:

• Oversee brokers and benefit providers to ensure employees receive excellent customer service and timely issue resolution.

• Administer leaves of absence including FMLA and personal leave. Manage short and long term disability process within FMLA leaves as applicable.

• Plan and facilitate the new hire and the annual benefit plan enrollment process. Deliver benefits presentations to employees as required for enrollment.

• Plan and implement wellness program quarterly initiatives.

• Coordinate collection of data for annual audits and perform required data analyses to meet compliance requirements such as 5500 filings and nondiscrimination testing.

• Assist in plan design and renewal negotiations.

• Respond to inquiries from employees regarding plan benefits, claims procedures, and claims resolution.

• Ongoing monitoring of legislated requirements to ensure compliance of benefit plans and documentation. • Additional project work as needed.

HRIS:

• Collect new hire paperwork timely and enter all new hire data into HRIS.

• Notify appropriate personnel when new hire background checks receive clearance.

• Assist with implementation of efficient means of HRIS data collection and maintenance. Input and test data as required. Audit data input and output for accuracy.

• Create statistical summaries and reports containing human resources data as required.

• Recommend changes in current methods or procedures to increase data efficiency and customer service.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

• At least 5 years of compensation and benefits experience with professional certification in compensation (CCP) and benefits (CBP or CEBS) preferred.

• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing compensation practices and procedures.

• Good understanding of job matching and job families.

• Knowledge of statistics, labor market analysis, and impact of compensation on business culture and results.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with external service providers and at all levels of the organization.

• Ability to plan and execute multiple projects meeting deadlines as required.

• Ability to balance short and long term perspectives.

• Ability to troubleshoot, resolve conflicts, and generate alternative solutions.

• Excellent listening and verbal/written communication skills, including effective presentation skills.

• Previous experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office product suite including o Advanced Excel skills o Intermediate Word and Powerpoint skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to use discretion in handling confidential and/or proprietary information.
