Great Stay at Villas Los Tunas

5 of 5
We just returned from a great stay at Juan's newly built beach home. We were two couples from Canada and had lots of extra room. This home is everything the pictures portray. The owner was great to deal with throughout the whole booking period and time we were there. We enjoyed a few days in Progreso, one day in Merida, and a day exploring the Dzibilchaltun ruins which had a great museum and cenote for swimming. We were Juan's first renters and this home is only going to get better with time! Id recommend brining activities like cards or board games to play at night. If you need internet access there is a TELCEL in progreso that can set up any unlocked phone with a prepaid sim card with data. Thanks again Juan, Paul

beautiful home in the best location possible

5 of 5
Walking into the very large Villa Rosa I felt is if I walked into a luxurious modern NY hotel, the chairs, the mirrored tables, the dining room were like a place you don't wish to ever leave. To the left of the living area was the media room in black and yellow, very beautiful and easy on the eyes while watching tv. Once I passes through the yellow court yard I found myself in a modern very well stocked kitchen , breakfast area . Beyond that I found the pink yard where the pool is. At the end of this yard there is an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area ... That's were we spend most of our time..above there is a lovely sundeck . The bedrooms were amazing, each one had a different look. the modern large master bathroom with its own court yard Is a designer masterpiece. Every llight switch had a dimmer, we had a super week. Will come back for sure

JUST PERFECT

5 of 5
Well, after two weeks here, we are just about finishing up our packing. I thought I would take several minutes and write about our perfect experience. After reading all the wonderful and totally accurate reviews of Casa Cruz (save for the one where I can only say that the renter had other issues) I decided to approach this review from a little different angle. First and foremost there is the manager, who without we would have been lost. Thank you for being so kind and patient with two gringos. Second, thank you to the owners, for having a home so well equipped that we needed for nothing. Although, we did buy more hangers....we are in Mexico for 3 months....so I have a lot of clothes. We have left the hangers for subsequent visitors. The house's charm and beauty definately added to the overall experience. Daily we chose a different direction to travel. From Progreso to Celestun to the PUUC Trail, to all the Parque's around the city....life was good! Thirdly, we were grateful for the friendly and helpful residents and professionals of the city. Even when stopped by the police for executing an illegal left turn.....the police were kind and helpful in getting us to where we wanted to go. No, we did not get a ticket....which my husband deserved! Fourthly, in 48 years of marriage I never have hung clothes on a line to dry. So now I know an old dog can learn new tricks.?. Lastly, take this opportunity to not only experience , taste and enjoy this remarkable city, but venture out.....you too may still look like a gringo.....but in your heart you are anything but....?
