Incredible Stay at Casa de los Pelicanos!!!

5 of 5
Best vacation we've ever had. Beautiful home, very comfortable, airy, lots of privacy if that's your thing. Chucho & Chari, the caretakers/chefs, are incredibly sweet, friendly people. Very accomodating and wonderful cooks. Their delicious authentic cuisine was over-the-top good...everything very fresh. Incredible guacamole, salsa, cirvece (shrimp, bass & octopus), the best flan in the world (you have to request it), best hanbanero hot sauce es muy caliente but delicious. Weather was perfect everyday. Water is perfect temperature. Venture over to the laggo one day but don't swim in it...crocs!! But the views are spectacular. Sunrise and sunset from the roof. Fresh coconut from one of the trees on the property. I can't say enough good things about our trip and about the experience at the house. Venture into Tulum for a meal and some cerveza along the beach. Do a snorkel trip, the incredibly colorful reefs are only 1/2 mile from shore along the beach behind the house. Hundreds of fish, thousands of colorful corals, some turtles...just a great trip. we went with Luis from Tulum. The owner Alan knows him. Overall an incredibly fabulous stay. Easy to get around by calling the local taxi service. Cab driver's were all super nice.

Large groups will love Villa Mar Caribe

5 of 5
Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Villa Mar Caribe was perfect for our group of 11 adults. It never felt like we had too many, as there is plenty of room to spread out indoors and out. The Villa needs a little work, as one of the 2 powder rooms on level 1 was out of order while we were there. One a/c unit had to be repaired the first day and one a/c unit was really loud. The good thing is most of us only used the a/c on one night of our 7-night stay in late October. Some of the art hanging in the foyers could use a good dusting too. One thing we liked was that there was a wet bar with a large fridge to set up for cocktails, ice and beer. Some in our group moaned that there was no cable or satellite TV. I guess you could bring a Chromecast unit and stream shows from your laptop or iPad if you really needed to watch TV. The wifi is very good and there is a phone from which you can call the states at no charge. Also, there is a hi-fi unit you can hook your phone or iPad up to to play your dancing music. Bring your own cables, though. The location on Soliman Bay can't be beat. There is plenty of shade on the beach from the palms and palapas. The pool is perfect for rinsing the salt water off when you get done snorkeling amongst the turtles, rays and beautiful reef fish. We even saw an octopus out by the reef which you can swim to or take one of the kayaks to. Tie up to the bouy and your ready to drop in. The snorkeling is very good here. The reef has recovered greatly from the damage inflicted upon it by H. Wilma in 2005. Soliman Bay is the most perfect bay on the Riviera Maya. There are no big resorts and very few people. I guess in the winter there would be more, but that's why we always go to Mexico in October/November. Oh, and the management company was very good, very friendly. Way to go!

Well Worth the Mula!

5 of 5
Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Best deal on Soliman Bay! Outside of some dated decor and appliances, Tres Delfines is a classic gem. When you add the excellent level of service Olivia and Cristoban coupled with the relatively low-cost structure, I would highly recommend this villa to all! We plan to return again.
