Incredible Stay in Paradise!

5 of 5
Casa de los Pelicanos is everything it advertises and more! It is the best beachfront property I've ever stayed at! The location is amazing and private, just far enough away from everything to feel as though you own the beach but close enough to go out to dinner at some of the best restaurants we’ve ever been to in Mexico. Tulum's boutique shops are great as well. The beach deck has a palapa that provides casual outdoor living and overlooks the beach and ocean. The rooms are large and beautiful, each having their own charm. With sliding glass doors on both sides of the living room, the constant breeze throughout the villa is amazing and welcome after a full day of playing in the hot sun and surf. Correspondence with the owners was prompt, informative, and very friendly. I would definitely recommend Tulum and of course, Casa de los Pelicanos to everyone I know if I wasn't so selfish and secretly wanted to keep it to myself. We’ve already booked for next year!

Georgeous - great vacattion!

5 of 5
The home, beach, pool are well maintained and beautiful! Every bedroom has an ensuite bath allowing privacy for all guests. Tulum offered excellent dining, shopping and beach bars for excursions. Manuel and Luisa, the caretakers, are gracious and willing to help in any way, taking us on Turtle hatching "hunts" and locating baby turtles to help reach the surf. They cooked several delicious meals and, if arrangements are made, will have breakfast ready every morning. Manuel makes a mean margarita - a day can be made of those and the pool! Stay up late enough and you might be able to see the mother turtles in the moonlight as they make their up the beach to lay their eggs. You most certainly see their fresh tracks every morning (Manuel rakes the beach daily so you know the turtles have returned each night). Highly recommend the massage services - an excellent start to a vacation. This was the 1st week long vacation we had taken in years and the 1st to such a beautiful and relaxing place. The bar has been set high for future vacations and we'll be back to Villa Escapar!

Perfect end to our Yucatan trip!

5 of 5
Having travelled through the Yucatan for 10 days we were looking forward to some rest and relaxation for the last week of our holiday. Villa Arghy turned out to be just the ticket. The first impression is incredible. As you walk through the front door you are immediately confronted with the large expanse of glass at the rear if the property which gives the most gorgeous view of there beach and sea behind. This is repeated upstairs as well where they have designed a similarly large expanse of glass overlooking the sea. Thereafter we learnt about the quality of the rest of the property. Lots of space, nice furnishings, a well equipped Kitchen, wifi and TV and DVD players if you can tear your eyes away form the view (we couldn't!). Outside is a decent pool and again a lot of space for relaxing. The beach itself of course brings the beauty of night-time visitors in the shape of the beautiful turtles (and we even had an unexpected mass hatching of baby turtles right behind the villa one afternoon! The open roof-space gives further options for relaxation and start gazing. In fact, given the various patios and balconies and rooftop space you have loads of options if you want a change of scene or catch the sun at a different time of day. Lesly and Alfredo and the perfect hosts, being totally discreet but always there in the most cheerful fashion if needed for anything. And Lesly's salsa and guacamole was the best we had during our whole trip. The location is excellent, whether for exploring the immediate area around Tulum or travelling further afield or inland to visit the numerous attractions in the region. It is very hard to improve this place so can only find small things that could make a difference. Maybe a nice wifi dock in the main living area to compile, meant those in the bedrooms, possibly more shaw on the patio and some instructions for the telescope would be handy! However, the relative triviality of these show what a fantastic place this is, a well designed and well-run place to give a very special trip indeed.
