Exceeds Family Expectations - Ages 1 to 80

5 of 5
Villa Vidorra on Soliman Bay made life-long memories for our 15 extended family members that arrived from Montana, Colorado and Texas. As senior member, I have never in my long life, experienced better/friendly service. The food was superb, beautifully presented and individually adapted to the tastes and needs of individuals. The housekeeping was immaculate, the pool clean and inviting. Multicolored pool lights enhance parties and our imprompto hermit crab races. Sitting in a beach chair, shaded by tropical vegetation, I watched the family make castles and animal figures from clean sand, wade in gentle surf, snorkel for hours in the quarter-mile bay from beach to breakers, and paddle small craft provided by the Villa. This place felt like a private tropical home away from home, except here the staff kept bringing tasty cool drinks. How warm and relaxing! There was easy access to excitement; floating in Cenotes, swiming with sea turtles, drifting through wild marshes, and exploring Mayan ruins. The luxurious Villa's website photos caused great expectations; but reality exceeded expectations. I won't forget the beautiful bovida ceilings, circular stair case, finished stone work and the views from every room. Oh, what a memorable family vacation!

EVEN BETTER THAN IT LOOKS!

5 of 5
We are about to head back to our wintry home but before leaving wanted to post our review of this fantastic property. Located beachfront on beautiful, peaceful Soliman Bay, this very private residence is also within minutes of the restaurants/bars, Mayan ruins, and beaches of Tulum. The property is absolutely stunning, with every attention to detail. Each bedroom has the true feel of a luxurious master suite. Hugo and his house staff couldn't be more helpful. It is decorated exceptionally tastefully. The online pictures and reviews were what got us here--the actual experience was all that and much more. We have stayed in many beautiful places but rarely have we experienced this level of luxury and relaxation.

Perfect getaway for relaxation

5 of 5
At first we were hesitant to come to Mexico because it was the beginning of hurricane season and the forecasts showed thunderstorms most days we were there. We were glad we decided to come anyway. Though there was some rain, we still had good weather. Booking with Loic (the owner) was very easy and he was helpful with directions and other questions we had prior to arrival. The beach house was exactly what we were looking for. The area is peaceful and we were 10 min from town. Since we were the only ones staying there at the time, we had 2 pools and the private beach to ourselves. The place has kayaks and snorkel equipment for the guests to use. Alessandra and Miguel who stay on the property, clean the unit, the pools and take care of the grounds. They were very friendly. And we loved Chile the dog. We stayed in the Bora unit which was perfect for us. It had a nice well equipped kitchen which we used every day. We barely ate out at the restaurants since we just cooked there. Our unit had a nice porch that stepped right out to the pools. We had AC in our unit though with the sea breeze, we never needed it. We just had the ceiling fans on for air flow. If you want to come to Mexico to enjoy the sun, beach, pool, relaxation but avoid crowded touristy areas, I highly recommend this place. The drive to Soliman Bay was so easy...just one highway all the way down.
