Absolutely the best

5 of 5
This house and Tulum/Soliman Bay are the best. I do not believe that I could possibly compliment Barbara and Chuck(the owners), Leo(chef), and the rest of the staff to the extent they all deserve. They took care of our every need. The house accommodated our large family group extremely well. It would also be great for multiple families and a couples trip. We really enjoy getting out on the water in places like this, but even I have to admit, I could have pretty much just hung around the house the entire week. It was so nice, and the service left nothing to be desired. My only cautuion is to be prepared to work off a few extra pounds when you return home! The beach is also beautiful and sandy with wonderful snorkeling out on the reef. I highly recommend Casa Cenote which is only five minutes to the south. There is a dive/fishing charter shop and a cantina right cross the street from it on the beach side of the road. You can't miss it. Several members of our crew had never been scuba diving. Miguel, the owner of the shop, is a master cave dive instructor. He provided about 20-30 minutes of instruction and accompanied them on a cenote dive. Anyone who has ever wanted to get a feel for scuba should take the opportunity to do this! My 12 year old loved it! Miguel also runs 2 fishing boats at that same location which I also highly recommend. We caught very nice Mahi Mahi and had plenty for us to take back to house for Leo to cook for dinner that night with enough left over for Miguel's helpers and for the restarant to serve to some of their patrons. As I mentioned, all that is in one location, and at one point, we had members of our crew diving, snokeling, fishing, beer drinking, eating-all going on at the same time. Something for everyone! We will definitely return to this place, and particularly this house.
