Just got back from a 7 night trip to Cancun, rented this condo w/my husband & 14-year-old son. This condo got 4 vs. 5 stars only because I think the condo complex could make some changes (upgrades), which they are in the process of doing. The condo complex service was excellent, grounds were clean & well maintained and the condo itself had an amazing view, was super clean, nicely decorated and in the best location in Cancun for fun!
A few notes to guests: I didn't see an iron and that's something I often use when traveling - was able to hang my clothes on the small square clothes line area on the porch in the morning to wear at night or the next day and the wrinkles from being packed were gone, so it wasn't really that big of a deal, but something other guests should be prepared for. Also, bring your own blow dryer (most condos don't have them like hotels).
There were 4 towels for personal use, several hand towels & wash cloths, but if you are one to wash your face daily or don't like to re-use a towel the whole week (and don't want to go to the Laundromat), you might want to bring some extra of your own. It's as big as the average hotel room, kitchen has everything you would need to make small meals; separate room is not completely closed off (open at the top to rest of the condo). Bed is maybe a full size, could be queen but is small for a queen (US standards) & my only complaint is that the bed was a bit too soft for me, but that's just a personal preference. My son is 6 ft tall, he fit on both the futon & the pull out chair that turns into a bed (pictured above). The condo was perfect size for us 3.
There's a restaurant right downstairs, which is nice for drinks/lunch/snacks while on the beach or at the pool, if you don't feel like using the kitchen. It's so close to the Cancun main attraction areas as stated above; saved a lot of money and time by being right there where the action is. Also, the beach is more private than the other beaches near by - they were FULL of people on the sand and water on the weekend but of course those were the hotel beaches; it was nice to have a bit more privacy. Also, we traveled to the west of the peninsula and that side of Cancun had boring water - no waves. There were tons of waves on this beach, lots of fun and the water is so blue and clear, sand so soft and wasn't rocky like other beaches we've been to.
