Winter vacation at El Pedregal

5 of 5
My family and I had a wonderful stay at El Pedregal. Viktor, the owner, and all of his staff were so helpful and accommodating. The villa is beautiful, with stained glass throughout and Mexican art and furniture adding to the feel of a authentic Mexican getaway. The master bedroom is a work of art, and has a balcony overlooking the main circle street of Playacar. The villa shares a pool with neighboring properties, but we often had it to ourselves. There is also a blocked off shallow area for young kids. The hotel area begins just south of the villa, so there was never a problem getting a cab. That said, it was only a 15 minute walk into town via sidewalk or beach. The beach was a 4-5 minute walk, or the villa has cards to access the Reef Hotel, just a 2 minute walk, where you can use their facilities, including the pools and beach chairs. Overall this was a wonderfully relaxing vacation, with a nice mix of quiet at the villa and food and entertainment in Playa del Carmen. I can not stress enough how wonderful Viktor and his staff were in making sure that our stay was the best possible. I definitely recommend staying at this property

Gorgeous Vacation Home

5 of 5
This is a lovely home for a family vacation. Located about 15 minutes-20 minutes drive time from San Miguel, this home is perfectly situated with a nice view of the ocean from the 3rd floor porch. Karla, the owner, was very helpful and prompt with her replies to my questions. The manager, Antonio, met us at the airport and oriented us to De Cinco upon arrival. The master suite was on the third floor; this was fine as our 4 adult children stayed out the second floor. The condo was well equipped and had plenty of space; no one felt crowded. There is a nice pool, sunning shallow pool, and hot tub overlooking the ocean. The pier is perfect for your dive company to pick you up and it was less than 15 minutes on the boat to Palancar Reef. There are kayaks available for use and you can snorkel right off of the pier. We easily drove to the San Gervasio ruins and to San Miguel for several meals. Although we came during the busiest time of the year (between Christmas and New Year's Eve,) the complex never felt crowded. We prefer to stay in smaller complexes away from the hustle of commercial business areas, cruise ships, and big hotels. De Cinco at Costa Del Sol was perfect for us.

Amazing, fabulous, luxurious, not to be missed ren

5 of 5
Amazing, fabulous, luxurious, not to be missed rental property!" We do an annual trip each year with a large group of friends, 15 guys in this case. The house was amazing, very luxurious, well appointed, HUGE, with plenty of beds and baths for our large group. We had beds for all but 2 guys and they slept on one of the many couches. The house appears to have been designed as a duplex but with no interior wall to divide the 2 mirror image sides. It has a great pool area, a large covered patio area in the back, and is a short walk down a dirt road to the beach. The beach is very nice and there are multiple resorts next door, some that you can get day passes to use the all inclusive amenities including food and booze for about $70 per day. If you are into scuba diving and snorkeling there is a Dressel Divers shop located right on the beach at the end of the road you walk down so it is very convenient to use and I would recommend using them for your scuba/snorkel activities as it doesn't get much more convenient than that. We only used them for 1 dive day as we had previously scheduled another outfit for our other days otherwise we would have used them every day. The rooftop palapas and hammocks were very relaxing for afternoon naps as well. I would highly recommend the cooking option with Martin's staff. They don't speak much English but Martin can get everything line up for you. They make amazing food and work really hard getting it all together and it was amazing for our group of 15, including some picky eaters. They made us breakfast and dinner every day and we had them put some snacks in the fridge for around lunch time every day as well. The value is unbelievable and the food was amazing. You can't go wrong using these fine ladies. Martin is a very interesting guy and amazing host. He met us at the house and was a true pleasure to deal with. He had lots of great info for us and made sure he stopped by every day to see if we needed anything at all. We ran out of beer and liquor on our 2nd day and emailed him and he dropped by with 6 cases of beer and more liquor for our large group the next day. Several of our group just enjoyed sitting by the pool with a drink and chatting with him on several of the nights as he is very friendly. Overall this was a great vacation rental and complete experience. If you want to kick back, relax, and live in luxury for a week on a very reasonable amount of money then this is the place for you.
