Bellamar supreme Villa for vacation!

5 of 5
Our vacation in Villa Bellamar at the Riviera Maya, were a total success. Located in Half Moon Bay, Akumal México was the perfect place for our vacation with our friends and families. Bellamar is a huge luxury Villa, very well equipped to provide comfort to all guests. The Villa has several indoor and outdoor spaces that allow guests to have privacy and relaxing activities, (taking a nap, reading a book) when wanting to be alone. Even with more than 30 people staying at the villa, there is not feeling of being tight. The villa has direct access to a very little frequented beach, almost private since is at the end of the bay. This beach is spacious, perfect for the volley ball and other beach games. The ocean here is a perfect place to snorkel and use the kayaks the villa provides. The swimming pool is one of the best features of the villa, it is enormous, adequate for large groups, with a nice wet bar, which gives service to the swimming pool and the terrace, the perfect place for the daily outdoors activities during the day. It has comfortable sofas and a hammocks area. Above the terrace there is a Jacuzzi for 8 people with an amazing view of the whole bay. This area is the heart of the house. Everybody is here day and night. In addition we enjoyed most of the meals outdoors in a nice terrace ocean view. Each bedroom has exit to a big terrace ocean front which has comfortable chaises, sofas and hammocks, and what is best, amazing view of the bay. All the bedrooms are very spacious, and with private bathroom. Thanks to the game room situated in the third floor with its pin pong table, other games and TV, parents could rest and have peace while children were playing and having fun. The chef and the cook services are very professionals and kind. The staff in general is excellent, and always willing to meet our needs and fulfill our desires. They take care of everything that is needed in order to give us a perfect time to relax, have fun and enjoy this beautiful beach in the Mexican Caribean. Akumal and villa Bellamar is a piece of paradise! This villa is like having a private resort. I highly recommend it, I´m looking forward to be back next year.

Family Vacation

5 of 5
My family and I recently stayed at Villa de Paz. It was my wife, with my 18yr old daughter and her friend, my 15yr old son and his friend, and my 10 year old son. Upon arrival the house and grounds from the outside are beautiful, the location is right on the beach, that includes a nice pool on the beach, it is about 15 feet to the sea, although I do not recommend swimming right off the beach in front of the house it is a bit rocky, beach shoes necessary. Inside, the house is a bit older and in need of some upgrades but overall I give it a 7 out of 10, it is spacious and comfortable and we had plenty of room. We ate all of our meals outside on the patio by the pool. Carlos the caretaker is great and cleans the house and beach everyday, he understands very little English but we had no trouble communicating, he also gets you cabs when needed. He arranged for us to have a chef prepare us breakfast and dinner 5 out of the 8 days we where there, Honorio and Maddie prepared exquisite meals, did all the shopping, we gave them the money prior, we had lobster, fajitas, fresh, salsa, and guacamole everyday, desserts, flan, pastry, it was top notch. I tipped them at the end of the week, they also served and cleaned up after every meal. It is very safe, we did lock up every night but we never felt unsafe. It was sunny and 85 everyday, with a nice ocean breeze, each bedroom has air-conditioning, but one did break in the small bedroom so we just had my son move in with his brother, no big deal. Casa Cenote is a great restaurant 2 properties down, as well as Blue Sky, Casa Cenote has a dive shop, we used them to Scuba Dive the freshwater Cenote right behind the house, great for snorkeling as well, you can also swim and snorkel in the ocean right in front of Casa Cenote. Lots to do locally, if you want to travel some. Susie the owner is very responsive and answered any and all of my questions. The only thing that caught us off guard was the inability to flush TP because of the fragile septic system, although it was not as big of deal as we first thought it would be. Overall it was paradise, I highly recommend staying at Villa de Paz!! Thanks you Susie!!

Beautiful and well maintained

5 of 5
This house was the ideal place for us with our three families with young children. It is a peaceful retreat on the Isla away from the crowds of North Beach, but an easy golf-cart trip away from anything you need. The staff was helpful but not intrusive, and the property was immaculately cared for before and during our stay. The house was spacious enough that we never felt crowded, and we could enjoy grilling dinner and eating in the outdoor dining area after the children were in bed. If you think you want to partake in North Beach nightlife, this may be a little too far south, but it was perfect for us since we were house-bound after 8 pm anyway. You do need to plan on some type of transportation (golf cart, taxis), since the only "walkable" attractions are the ruins at punta sur, The Joint (great restaurant/bar, but closes early) the Garraffon park, and a few other restaurants a little farther away.
