Amazing vaction!

5 of 5
I have never written a review before but we had such an amazing stay I had to share. Casa Mar Azul is absolutely beautiful, the pictures are accurate but once we saw it in person it exceeded all our expectations. We loved the décor! And it was extremely clean and well kept. The views are breathtaking, I have never seen water that blue. We had 6 kids aging from 16 down to 7. There was plenty of space for kids and adults alike. We all loved the pool. The wifi and American channels came in handy. Kitchen was well equipped. Maria, the daily housekeeper, was much appreciated. Hopefully we didn't drive her to quit. The A/C wasn't working properly in one bedroom, a quick text to the property manager and it was fixed within the hour, now that's service! Ashley, the owner, was very helpful with all things Isla from golf cart & paddle board rentals to restaurant recommendations. The location was private yet close enough to downtown. The first day or so we didn't have a golf cart which turned out to be no problem. We walked across the street to "The Joint" have a few drinks and appetizers then grab a cab. The Joint was by far our favorite restaurant on the island, great food, friendly service, very economical and daily Reggae music-what's not to love? Hidalgo St was great fun for the whole family, lots of shops and rest. Playa Norte was beyond gorgeous! The ruins at Punta Sur were ok but awesome views. The turtle farm is well worth the $3 fee, in and out in an hour and everyone had fun. We spent an afternoon at Zama Beach Club, fun pool, kayak rentals & delish mango daiquiris, once again fun had by all. We also went across the street to Gaffaron Beach Club, small, rocky beach but kids had fun feeding the fish and watching the giant iguanas run around. We all preferred Zama over Gaffaron. The Mexican people were so warm, friendly and accommodating. All in all our vacation to Isla Mujeres & Casa Mar Azul was one of the best family trips we have taken and highly recommend!

Wonderful location, wonderful stay

4 of 5
Steps away from the pool. steps away from the beach, steps away from restaurants/shopping....pretty much steps away from everything! The staff at the complex are EXCEPTIONAL. The condo itself is nicely equipped. If it's your plan to do a lot of meal prep, there are provisions, but don't be looking for a chef's kitchen and we didn't as it was never our intent to do a boatload of cooking on vacation and with so many restaurants so close! Although the complex has laundry facilities, they are not in the unit....just an FYI. My only comment would be a little comfier furniture on the patio would be super...other than that, we had a fantastic time. Owners were responsive when booking, gave great suggestions for transport from the airport. No complaints....other than I wish I was still there!

Had a Blast!

5 of 5
We recently travelled to Cancun for our first trip there and had a blast! The waterfront penthouse condo was situated perfectly; several restaurants and the beach nearby and two blocks from a very nice mall. The condo overlooks the beach and it is amazing! There are three pools available, though we only used one and it was great. The condo itself is quite nice. It is two-story, overlooking the beach. It is well taken care of and kept in excellent shape. All essential appliances were provided and worked well. The penthouse even has a well-equipped kitchen and it has everything you need if you plan to cook yourself. l cooked many of our meals and was happy with the kitchen especially the stove. The complex itself is a little older but overall pretty well kept. My friend and I had travelled by car and having personal parking space was very convenient. I would love to go again!
