Excellent Location with Awesome View

4 of 5
The location and view from the condo are highlights. It is further down the beach from the busy hotels and the beach was never crowded. The view from the balcony was awesome. The condo itself was comfortable and nice with a small kitchen. The onsite restaurant was excellent. There is a bus that stops right outside the gate every five minutes or so to take you to shopping and more restaurants. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends.

Location! Location! Location!

5 of 5
First trip to Cancun -- wanted something on the beach and close to all the activity and stores. Traveled with family -- including 2 teenage children. This place is perfect. The studio is on the 5th level, has awesome views of the beach. So relaxing sitting on the balcony sipping on cocktails, listening to the waves. Room is exactly as shown on the pictures. Has a full kitchenette, so meals and snacks can be quickly and easily prepared. Provisions can be obtained right next door -- Oxxo and Extra convenience stores. Only negative I can think of is the flow rate in the shower is slow -- but we did not think it was a big deal! Building has excellent security -- need a band on your wrist to enter the property. Has parking if you are renting a car. Pool and tennis court on premises -- however did not use. Close to all the restaurants and night life and night clubs -- couple minutes walk. The partying goes on till 5am at these places!! Beach is awesome -- but warning--- the surf is rough!!! -- unfortunately I got injured swimming! Lastly ,excellent communication by the property manager Jenna -- responded to emails promptly! Overall a memorable vacation --- will definitely stay at this place again when I return!

Oasis

5 of 5
My stay at Layla was perfect! The clean, well furnished, air conditioned suite was like an oasis after my days exploring PM. It is walking distance from the market and beach and as a female travelling alone I felt very safe the entire time. The unique decor and creatively designed indoor/outdoor space made spending time in the studio as relaxing as laying on the beach! I took advantage of the hammock in the yard as well as my private in-room hammock. Details like the beach chairs and towels, fresh unlimited drinking water, kitchenette (including microwave), clothes drying rack, reading selection and complimentary refreshments made it a very comfortable stay! Robin was extremely welcoming and helpful, explaining community projects and telling me about the cenote tour offered (which I was disappointed I couldnt do because of timing). The classes and tours offered at Layla give any traveller the opportunity to try some new experiences with ease and a percentage of the proceeds go back into community development. Richard at the cafe also went above and beyond with recommendations of local things to do (and his food and the juice bar were phenomenal)! If I get the chance to return to Puerto Morelos, I will definitely be staying here again! Just a note: because of the open floor plan, sound from the surrounding area travels clearly, so ear plugs may be recommended (I don't travel without them anyways so it wasn't an issue). Thank you for a memorable stay and I hope to see you again!
