Amazing, fabulous, luxurious, not to be missed ren

5 of 5
Amazing, fabulous, luxurious, not to be missed rental property!" We do an annual trip each year with a large group of friends, 15 guys in this case. The house was amazing, very luxurious, well appointed, HUGE, with plenty of beds and baths for our large group. We had beds for all but 2 guys and they slept on one of the many couches. The house appears to have been designed as a duplex but with no interior wall to divide the 2 mirror image sides. It has a great pool area, a large covered patio area in the back, and is a short walk down a dirt road to the beach. The beach is very nice and there are multiple resorts next door, some that you can get day passes to use the all inclusive amenities including food and booze for about $70 per day. If you are into scuba diving and snorkeling there is a Dressel Divers shop located right on the beach at the end of the road you walk down so it is very convenient to use and I would recommend using them for your scuba/snorkel activities as it doesn't get much more convenient than that. We only used them for 1 dive day as we had previously scheduled another outfit for our other days otherwise we would have used them every day. The rooftop palapas and hammocks were very relaxing for afternoon naps as well. I would highly recommend the cooking option with Martin's staff. They don't speak much English but Martin can get everything line up for you. They make amazing food and work really hard getting it all together and it was amazing for our group of 15, including some picky eaters. They made us breakfast and dinner every day and we had them put some snacks in the fridge for around lunch time every day as well. The value is unbelievable and the food was amazing. You can't go wrong using these fine ladies. Martin is a very interesting guy and amazing host. He met us at the house and was a true pleasure to deal with. He had lots of great info for us and made sure he stopped by every day to see if we needed anything at all. We ran out of beer and liquor on our 2nd day and emailed him and he dropped by with 6 cases of beer and more liquor for our large group the next day. Several of our group just enjoyed sitting by the pool with a drink and chatting with him on several of the nights as he is very friendly. Overall this was a great vacation rental and complete experience. If you want to kick back, relax, and live in luxury for a week on a very reasonable amount of money then this is the place for you.

I would stay there again!

We had a very nice stay in Cancun, the trip was a last minute decision, and we booked the condo the day before arriving. The location is central, you should have no problems even without a car, the view of the ocean is fantastic, and it was quiet enough there, which is what we wanted, and were not confident we would find in a hotel. Jacky was trusting, accepting our reservation without securing payment with a credit card ahead of time, and also trustworthy, getting us the key without any hassle or waiting. There are some comments about hard mattresses, but we felt they were just firm and it was just fine. Also, this place is cheaper than other rentals in the same condo building, b/c it has not been renovated recently and the TVs are old etc. Overall, we think this place is a great value. The last advantage of this place is being right next to the Kukulcan plaza mall where you can find some dining/shopping options and a grocery store.

Incredible Stay at Casa de los Pelicanos!!!

5 of 5
Best vacation we've ever had. Beautiful home, very comfortable, airy, lots of privacy if that's your thing. Chucho & Chari, the caretakers/chefs, are incredibly sweet, friendly people. Very accomodating and wonderful cooks. Their delicious authentic cuisine was over-the-top good...everything very fresh. Incredible guacamole, salsa, cirvece (shrimp, bass & octopus), the best flan in the world (you have to request it), best hanbanero hot sauce es muy caliente but delicious. Weather was perfect everyday. Water is perfect temperature. Venture over to the laggo one day but don't swim in it...crocs!! But the views are spectacular. Sunrise and sunset from the roof. Fresh coconut from one of the trees on the property. I can't say enough good things about our trip and about the experience at the house. Venture into Tulum for a meal and some cerveza along the beach. Do a snorkel trip, the incredibly colorful reefs are only 1/2 mile from shore along the beach behind the house. Hundreds of fish, thousands of colorful corals, some turtles...just a great trip. we went with Luis from Tulum. The owner Alan knows him. Overall an incredibly fabulous stay. Easy to get around by calling the local taxi service. Cab driver's were all super nice.
