We were a group of 14 that had the pleasure of staying at Casa Paridisus. Ages ranged from 5 to 68. Villa is beautiful with a wonderful layout, large bedrooms and plenty of space. Most of our time when we were at the house was spent outside on the wonderful extremely large patio. Patricia was great to work with answering all of my crazy questions. We had teenagers with us so having the bikes was a plus, they would ride them to the Starbucks which gave them some freedom. Safety was never an issue at the house or in town at 5th Ave. Some of the kids walked the beach to Senior Frogs and they thought that was the greatest. Beach is beautiful. The house is much larger than the pictures display. Water provided was a savior. We used WalMart for groceries, easy cab ride at the end of the culdesac. $5 going $7 coming back not including tip. Almost rented several cars and so happy we didn't. I prearranged our transportation through USA Transfers and they were great, our group was coming in at 3 different times. Some went on an excursion they arranged at The Reef Resort. $52 pp and that inc. transp. Zip lining, ATV riding and jumping off a 30 ft. cliff. They all loved it. Also we did our own outing for a day to Alkuma Beach. That is a must. Snorkeling with the turtles. Wonderful open air rest. We took our own cooler packed with beer. Main recommendation is that you bring enough sun screen, we ran out and it is expensive at Wal Mart. I would definitely return to this property. Wish we could of stayed longer, 11 days just wasn't enough. When you see Edwin (grounds keeper) and Edy(housekeeper) tell them we said hello. Almost forgot about the animal entertainment. Google animals of Playa del Carmen. They won't bother you, but we were extra careful with the trash. I miss my little piece of the jungle.
