What a wonderful place to stay

5 of 5
I had the pleasure to occupy both suites during my stay at Layla. Both are are a nice size and are the same with minimal aesthetic differences. I enjoyed the comfortable King Bed, lovely sheets, beautiful art works, and that FANTASTIC bathroom with a garden layout, Both had all the amenities I needed for a weeks stay. There is wifi, a place to concentrate, a kitchen unit for simple personal cooking needs. Just outside the door is the opportunity to lounge in The Palm Garden with its different tree variations and to interact with the wonderful parrots. At the entrance to Layla is the lovely La Duna cafe which serves great smoothies, breakfast, lunch, and other light fare. When that was closed, wonderful restaurants were a short walk away. Above La Duna there is a salon that can give you a great haircut, Massage and other services. The best part of my stay was Layla's Mayan Nature Experience Cenote Tour, which included Robin giving intriguing facts and ends with an authentic Mayan lunch at the home of a Mayan family. I look forward to my return which will have easy beach access and a lovely "Octopus's Garden" that the owner is building to attract fish and other sea life. Now that was really cool. All it really needed was a real octopus, but the lobsters were fun to observe.

Everything you'll need is here

4 of 5
We stayed with Sylvia at her charming apartment which truly is close to everything. Well equipped kitchen but if your missing anything please done hesitate to ask! They are here to help make your visit enjoyable. A wealth of local knowledge spoken in French, Spanish and English. We got some great advise on things to see and do in PM and beyond. Room on the bottom floor is next door to the wonderful El Bistro Restaurant which just started serving dinner (along with quality breakfast and lunches). Don't forget to try the decadent chocolate brownie! It truly sealed the deal for us. Enough said about the restaurant and lovely staff... The room is spacious with kitchen, eating area, bathroom with shower and hot water, living area with comfy seating and a bedroom with queen in the rear (away from street noise and with AC). New bedding and the towels are not threadbare. After a wonderful 5 day road trip in a rental car (with lots of advice, attractions and tips from Sylvia) we are back to stay another 5 days! They have taken our few ideas to heart to make this apartment just a touch better. Which is good for me, you and whomever wants to enjoy this slice of paradise. Don't forget to get your fresh daily caught fish and lobsters from the Co-op because your going to love cooking your own dinners once in a while. Thanks for being such gracious hosts Sylvia and Manuel.

Casita Blanca is an excellent Condo Complex for a vacation!

5 of 5
We had an excellent week staying in Randy's condo at Casita Blanca in April! Loved the town, the location, the food, snorkeling, fishing, beach massages!! There's lots to do if you choose...Playa del Carmen is very close for a day trip, as are many cenotes, which we love...Randy had suggested a few things to do and we contacted a wonderful fellow he had recommended to assist us with our fishing and snorkeling! it was awesome!!
