This was our first trip to Playa Del Carmen, although we've been to Cancun and knew the white beaches and blue water would be beautiful and warm, and they were. The property is beautiful with a great staff. Shana, the owner, was very helpful through the entire experience, even helping us with the wrong room assignment when we got there. I emailed her and she promptly answered and took care of the problem. Loved the double loungers on the beach and appreciated how the staff kept non-hotel people from occupying them. They do a good job of patrolling the area, especially when boat loads of people come over from Cozumel to use the beach. The ferry boats are immediately to the left of the resort and they are coming and going constantly. The three restaurants on site are good; our favorite being, probably, the Italian place. We also liked room service. The fish tacos that we ordered on the beach were to die for. Wish I had some right now. The brick oven pizza was delicious, too. It was also nice that 5th Avenue was a very short 5-minute walk away. A person could literally shop until they dropped, as it goes on and on forever, it seems. Also some fun bars on the beach with great music. One very close to the resort is the Wah-Wah bar. Good food there, too. The resort has nightly entertainment but it is all over by 9 or 10:00. They had karaoke in the lounge one night, which sounded like fun. People were just starting to get into it when they announced it was over. And that was the norm. So if you want more entertainment, it's a short walk away outside the resort. Senor Frogs is right next door and accessible via the beach, as well as, the street. But, all in all, a fun place, a beautiful location, lots to do. We recommend it.
