We spent four and a half weeks in the loft apartment at Club Roberto and weren't ready to leave. We enjoyed being able to choose whether we would sit by the lap-sized pool or in the sand by the ocean. As others have commented, it was a 15-minute walk into town to get groceries or to get to one of the numerous "gringo" operated restaurants but the local ex-pats quickly provided us with directions. For 8 pesos you can take the combi into Progresso (10 minute drive), a cruise ship port, and hit the supermarkets, banks and or simply saunter along the boardwalk and have lunch at one of the restaurants bordering the beach.
The apartment was clean, well-maintained and any issues we had were quickly addressed by the property manager. We would recommend this property.
