AS THEY SAY IN MEXICO, PERFECTO!

5 of 5
We're not into resorts or the somewhat nutty and sleazy Cancun scene, this is the real Mexico. We rented a car and like to get out everyday. This was a perfect home base. Nice house, great community. Chemuyil is a lovely little Mexican town, with some good restaurants and a little store. Very handy. The beach is fabulous, clean and quiet, easily the nicest beach we've been to in Mexico. The nearby town of Akumal is great, with a great snorkeling beach, we saw lots of turtles, rays, barracuda, pufferfish, cuttlefish, and many others. Farther down the beach road to the end is another excellent snorkel site, it was like an aquarium. 5 min. towards Tulum is Dos Ojos cenotes. Take the snorkel gear, it's mind blowing. We did a day trip to Vallalidad. Great little colonial city, not too touristy, and the Cenote Maya on the way back was incredible. We like to eat dinner out and there was always great places to go between Akumal, Chemuyil and Tulum. In the morning I liked to get up early and have coffee on the front patio and watch the birds in the jungle. We'll definitely be back.

PEACE AND QUIET!

5 of 5
I have just spent a month in this lovely casa with my husban and two daugthers. What we loved about this house was the tranquilety! We could have our coffee or one of our meals on one of the three terrasses and we only heard the birds singning! The location is also great! Two minutes walk to the beach or the lagoon! The pool is great and well maintained! The girls were in it at 8h00 in the morning before we left for the day and again at the end of the day when we came home! It's also nice in the evening for a relaxing swim before going to bed! The house is nice and well equiped, the only thing missing is a washer and dryer but there is a landromate at the entrance of town, just drop off your clothes and pick them up the next day! There is plenty of space for a large family with 4 bathrooms and three bedrooms! The bedrooms are very spacious with plenty of storage space! The garden is very beautiful with many trees and flowers! We even had the chance of picking and eating fresh coconuts from the coconut tree! It is a safe neighborhood we often went for walks at night with the girls to go get ice cream at the corner store! Akumal playa is a very nice village with lots of beautiful homes and well groomed gardens there is also lots of restaurants and boutiques and a market squar, plus two grocerie stores and two corner stores! It's a great starting point to exploring the riviera maya region! All in all this was the best vacation that we've had and we are surely coming back!! Thankyou Luis for sharing this piece of paridise!!
