The perfect homebase

5 of 5
I booked this house about a month before our trip out to Jackson Hole. Working with Andy, the owner, was both easy and informative. He helped me answer all of those little unknowns, and gave me tips based on my intentions of the trip. I had 14 people, all in our mid to late 20's, flying and driving in on the 12th of March. Our main goal was to board at both Jackson and Grand Targhee. Both mountains are about 40 min away from the house, which is nice if you want to ride both. I honestly do not have a complaint about the setup. We were able to sleep everyone comfortably, and cooking dinner for 14 was easy enough. There is plenty of cookware available. Also, there is plenty of space available for everyone's gear. You can set up a mini workshop in the annex and start tuning your equipment for the adventure. The hot tub and sauna is a must after a long day of riding, and the fireplace is a nice way to relax after all is said and done. I would highly recommend this property as a home base for anyone who needs to house lots of people. What is so special about the layout is that even though everyone has a place to sleep, the living room is where everyone congregates, which is so important if you are having a reunion type of trip. After all, the house is only as fun as the people in it, you want everyone to get along and be comfortable, which is very possible here. A special thanks to Josh, the Property Manager, for helping me get from Jackson to the house. I look forward to working with Andy and Josh again when we plan our next trip out west. I think a summer trip is in line!

The Lazy Willow is truly a piece of heaven

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed at the Lazy Willow for four days over the long Labor Day weekend and were completely enchanted by the cabin, its proximity to everything we wanted to do, and by the hospitality of its owners. The home itself is an incredible rustic log cabin with so many fantastic touches, decorations and amenities that we instantly fell in love with it. We can't possibly summarize all the details here but suffice it to say you will have every amenity you have at home and more including comfortable beds and a great flat screen tv in the living room (although we never found time to really use it). We did, however, find time to use the bikes and helmets Chuck provided for free (we took a nice ride from Moose to Jenny lake which we greatly recommend), a game of ladder golf on the lawn and, not to mention, the ping pong table in the garage which were pleasant surprises! The home itself is on beautiful pastureland with views of the Tetons all around. There are a couple of other cabins nearby but the property is designed in a way that you feel mostly isolated. My wife and I also LOVED sitting on the outdoor deck for breakfast and also having some wine at night gazing at stars under the most unbelievable star filled night sky. The cabin is close enough to everything (10 minutes or so to Jackson and 15-20 minutes to Grand Teton national park) that you get the wonderful feel of the grandeur and beauty of Wyoming while being close enough to restaurants and nightlife if you so desire. The drive to Jackson is particularly easy. Finally, I have to emphasize what an incredible host Chuck, the owner of the cabin, was. He sent us pamphlets and his own personal recommendations of things to do, trails to hike and places to eat in the Jackson/Grand Teton/Yellowstone area far in advance of our actual stay. He also had a surprise waiting for us upon arrival (which I won't ruin for future guests) and was all around the definition of class. In the end, we were incredibly sad to leave and left with the thought we want to have our own Lazy Willow some day. We wouldn't change a thing. You will love your time and experience at the Lazy Willow and the Jackson area in general and we can't possibly recommend it enough.

a river runs through it

5 of 5
I was a guest of this house last fall and was blown away by Jackson Hole in the fall. Myself and 3 other couple stayed here. The colors of the trees were incredible along the entire river area. Every morning I would walk down to the Snake River and get my line wet. I even reeled in few cuttys and rainbow trout. I felt like i could walk along the property for an hour before i reached the next house. It was my own private fishing paradise. Also I hired a guide and floated other sections of the Snake as well as a couple trips to the Grey´s and Hoback River. All were within a half hour of the property. The house was immaculate and I would recommend this place especially for those who like to be near Jackson but without all the madness the center of a tourist driven town. I hope to go back in the future to hunt in the fall as its located in the heart of the elk migration. I was surprised at how reasonable the price was after seeing the hotel rates in town, not to mention the kitchen was perfect for meals for the 7 of us.
