For once... an accurate listing

5 of 5
I just got back from Frank's "log dreamhome". I chose this place based on photos and the reviews. To our surprise, the photos were accurate and the actual home exceeded the recommendations. It was spectacular! It felt like a model home...clean, very little wear and amazing decor. We did not go out at night because sitting by the fire as a family in this comfortable space was better than anything in the village! I find it hard to believe that any other people have actually stayed here because everything was meticulous ... no stains, nothing broken. The kitchen even had pots and pans and the cabinets were filled with matching plates cups etc... My son opened the silverware drawer and the forks were lined up! The heated garage had built in boot dryers and the seasoned wood on the porch made for wonderful fires to share stories around. Anyone can build a log home, but the details that went into this slice of heaven are what set it apart. The location is perfect. Sun rises through the living room windows while having breakfast. The car stays parked in the garage while skiing thanks to a short walk down the street to a rope tow that takes you to the slope to the base lodge. After a day of hard skiing and boarding, the hot tub was a welcomed amenity and that too... was ultra clean and appreciated. We stayed here only three nights leaving to check into the Snake River Spa and that was our only regret. Frank' s place was so much better. I will be coming back... and I agree with Andrew's review below.... stay away so that we can have more time to ourselves... LOL.

This is simply a marvelous vacation home. We spent 10 glorious days here and loved every minute. The owners are meticulous and every detail of the home has been attended to. Look no further! Close to everything! Hope to return next summer.

We will be back!

5 of 5
We are a group of 14 friends who wanted to explore the Grand Teton area and ski at both Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole. Our experience would not have been complete without such a great house as Teton Chalet. We enjoyed every moment we spent there. First of all, communications were were easy and the owner responded to all our questions without a delay. I should also mention that the number of singles in our group was not clear till the very last moment and the owner did great job helping us understand different accommodation options. The house is huge and has a lot of areas where you can sleep, it has separate bedrooms for couples as well as large sleeping areas where kids or single bros can sleep. Nicely equipped kitchen made it possible to cook at the house and thus save some money. Although if you are up for dining out, Victor has some nice places where you can get a decent food. Jackson Hole area is full of restaurants as well. Getting to the mountains and back to the house was an easy cake. The house is in between Ghee and Jackson and it takes about 20-30 minutes to get to either. I should also say that we enjoyed the sauna very much! This was a very relaxing experience after long skiing days. I found it especially useful after the third day of skiing where your muscles are so sore that you basically cannot recover on your own. The sauna helped greatly! A word of advise about where to ski. Give Grand Targhee a serious consideration. It has PLENTY of snow. We got here on the 4th day after the storm and until the very last day of skiing (4 out of 5 days were spent at the Ghee, one was spent at Jackson) we were able to find untouched snow. You will also be surprised how relaxed, comfortable and inexpensive the mountain is. Parking is free and there is always space available. Food is cheap. Tickets are 60 bucks a day and they had a buy one get one free promotion all January! We enjoyed the Ghee very much and when we come back, we will definitely consider staying at the same house.
