                  great base for Yellowstone vacation

                  5 of 5
“Amazing view” doesn’t do this property justice – “Spectacular” is more like it. We stayed here as our base for a vacation to Yellowstone and Cody, with our two adult children. As noted, the location is about 30 minutes to Yellowstone and 30 minutes to Cody. We found the house to be exactly what we were looking for – a comfortable place to unwind at the end of the day, with room to spread out when needed. The property was clean, well-stocked, and management was very prompt in answering any questions we had. We were greeted with a double rainbow on our first afternoon there, and glorious sunrises and sunsets. In addition to the trips into Yellowstone, we recommend a visit to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West (in Cody), and, for scenery that rivals anything in Yellowstone, a drive on the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway. For us, it was a great location, very comfortable house, and a quiet place to re-charge and get ready for the adventures of the next day. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives.

                  family reunion fun

                  5 of 5
Our family had a fantastic time! Clarksfork guest lodge was 28 minutes north of Cody and 10 minutes from the Chief Joesph Hwy, which was a breathtaking ride up to 12k feet, with hundreds of lakes and snow pockets even in September! Kayaking was available on the large stocked trout lake/pond also on the Clarksfork River which goes right by the lodge. Wildlife meandered past the front of lodge early mornings. The beds were wonderful, with tastefully decorated rooms. The downstairs had a bar, pool table, washer /dryer. Beautiful views of the Beartooth Mts and Clarksfork river from a large lobby. Big screen tv, internet and fax machine at our disposal. A well stocked kitchen, (all we did is bring the food). We feel we can recommend this as fun and relaxing place to get away from it all!
