4 days in Paradise

5 of 5
Stayed at this incredible place for 4 days with my 74 year old parents, my wife, sister and brother-in-law and their 2 kids, ages 11 and 9. The kids were asleep when they came in at night, but it was worth it just to see the looks on their faces in the morning when the sun came up and they looked out the window...precious! In fact, we all carried the same look on our faces as we walked from room to room enjoying the design, the layout, the construction which all works together to help you derive maximum enjoyment of the surroundings. On a private road with lots of houses - once you pass through the gates at the falls you are isolated from the rest of the world as the rain forest engulfs you. It's so loud at night! The waterfall sounds like rainstorm and the birds at night...! It turns out there are no birds at night! Those are frogs pretending to be birds! My wife needs silence to sleep at night, but she slept like a baby here. These are the sounds that we are meant to hear as we sleep. Jack and Jane - thank you so much for sharing your private paradise with us! If I owned such a house I would have a hard time renting it out to strangers....so thank you for this wonderful gift!

Vacation of our dreams!

5 of 5
Our group of 9 had been planning our trip to Oahu for over a year. Linda the caretaker was in contact with us the night prior to our arrival and gave us instructions on getting into the house. She made it very homey right from the start by having nice Hawaiian music playing and the lights and ceiling fans on in the house for our arrival. She checked in with us to make sure we had arrived and that we didn't need anything. We had read reviews about Honu Hale II where people stated that the pictures can't even show how wonderful it is and that was definitely true. When we walked in the front door, we could not even believe the view through the large picture windows at the back of the house that looked out onto the ocean. It was so amazing words can't even describe it! Our group of 9 had plenty of room and every amenity we needed was provided, from dish and laundry detergent, toilet paper, beach towels, plenty of dishes and silverware, and the list goes on and on. My husband is disabled and he had no problem getting around the house with and without his wheelchair. We rented 3 vehicles for the week and had plenty of room with 2 parked in the carport and 1 parked outside the security gate along side of the driveway. Linda and her family even made sure that they stopped by to put out the appropriate trash/recycle bin during the week so that we didn't have to remember to do that little chore. We had originally contemplated getting hotel rooms and staying in Waikiki or Honolulu, but we are so thankful that we took this opportunity to rent a beautiful home in a more relaxed atmosphere on the North Shore away from the chaos of the city. We enjoyed visiting the Sugar Mill several times during the week and the town of Haleiwa which was hopping with the professional surfers in town for the Triple Crown competition. We also stopped by the Dole Plantation a few times and had the pineapple whip ice cream. We had no problems driving to see the sites such as Pearl Harbor, the Swap Meet/Flea Market at Aloha Stadium, a luau at Paradise Cove, a helicopter tour, surfing lessons, kayaking, hiking Diamondhead, biking, horseback riding along the beach, swimming in the ocean, and watching the fireworks at Waikiki. As you can see, we made the most of our week in paradise and we always enjoyed coming home to relax in the beautiful, relaxing home that is Honu Hale II. Mahalo for sharing your home with us!

Fabulous Holidayin Florida

5 of 5
We are regulator visitors to Florida and selected this location after a lot of research. The Emerald Island Resort is the best location that we have stayed at so far. It is very close to Disney, especially to Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach using the shortcut via Sherberth Road. Also the Intestate 4 is close by offering easy access to Seaworld and Universal. The house was situated on a well maintained and pleasant road and was a great place to chill out in between going to the theme parks. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of space and we never felt on top of each other. The pool area was not overlooked at the rear and there was plenty of furniture as we spent a lot of time around the pool, eating our breakfast outside every day and enjoying many an evening drink. We spent some time by the Clubhouse pool and bar for a change. All the staff that we met were pleasant and helpful and we managed to book on line tickets using the free computers. We felt very safe at this resort and felt that the security is very good. The resort feels very select and private but is so close to the 192 and virtually every restaurant franchise that you can of, is within a 5-10 minute drive. There is also a Winn Dixie Supermarket which is really well stocked about a 2 minute drive from the resort. We all enjoyed our stay at this resort and house and would return here again for a future holiday.
