Our family of four, including two small children (2 and 5), stayed at Trailside for a week. Every single thing about the space was exactly as listed and photographed. (This was my first "homeaway" experience, and I was quite nervous flying into town with two small children after 8 pm.) But Yvette went above and beyond to provide a beautiful retreat for our busy week. Highlights: quality linens and fluffy white towels, beautiful concrete floors, fully stocked pantry of spices and cooking necessities (from pots and pans to honey), eco-friendly cleaning products and laundry facility, stocked medicine chest (my daughter needed a band-aid:), sewing kit, book and game shelf, back porch swing, desk drawers stocked with office products (we needed to make some notes for a contract back home), and even a bottle of wine waiting for us on the counter! Yvette has seriously thought of everything. We were so much more comfortable than we would have been at a hotel, with the ability to spread between two bedrooms. Moreover, having a place to stock food in the fridge and prepare breakfast made life so easy. We were a little nervous about the back yard drop off with small children but it was absolutely no problem (though my girls were not allowed outside without supervision, just in case). I also want to point out that this location is FABULOUS. We were literally no more than 20 minutes from everything in town.
This has nothing to do with the digs, but the only negative part of our trip was eating too many meals at the mediocre restaurants on Barton Springs Road, just down from the house. Do better research than we did, and venture out a bit farther to better restaurants.
Thank you Yvette for making our Austin trip such a blast! I absolutely recommend this house and if we return to Austin, we will definitely try to rent it again.
